देवउठनी ग्यारस ( 23 नवंबर) को राजस्थान में विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए मतदान को अव्यावहारिक बताते हुए चुनाव आयोग से मतदान तिथि पर पुनर्विचार करने का आग्रह किया है। विप्र फाउंडेशन के संस्थापक सुशील ओझा ने देश के मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त राजीव कुमार को पत्र लिख कर मांग की है आमजन का पर्व देव प्रबोधिनी एकादशी का महत्व सनातन धर्म में सबसे उत्सवी है। इस दिन से ही चार माह बाद शादी विवाह जैसे मांगलिक कार्यो की शुरुआत होती है।
शादियों में लाखों लोग होंगे शामिल
ओझा ने पत्र में आगे लिखा है। कि देवउठनी एकादशी पर राजस्थान में हजारों शादियां प्रस्तावित हैं जिनमें लाखों लोग शामिल होंगे। शादी में मैरिज गार्डन, वाहनों आदि की डिमांड रहती है। चुनाव आयोग के कई मतदान केंद्र विवाह स्थलों पर बने हुए हैं उनकी बुकिंग रद्द होगी । चुनाव आयोग की ओर से वाहनों के अधिग्रहण से भी शादी विवाह वाले परिवारों को परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ेगा।

Devuthani Gyaras (23 November) termed voting for the assembly elections in Rajasthan as impractical and urged the Election Commission to reconsider the voting date. Sushil Ojha, founder of Vipra Foundation, has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner of the country, Rajiv Kumar, demanding that the importance of Dev Prabodhini Ekadashi, the festival of common people, is the most festive in Sanatan Dharma. After four months from this day, auspicious activities like marriage start.
Lakhs of people will attend weddings
Ojha has further written in the letter. That thousands of marriages are proposed in Rajasthan on Devuthani Ekadashi in which lakhs of people will attend. There is demand for marriage garden, vehicles etc. in a wedding. Many polling stations of Election Commission are situated at wedding venues, their booking will be cancelled. Marriage families will also face problems due to the acquisition of vehicles by the Election Commission.
