राजस्थान : लोकसभा सीट के इस बूथ पर दोबारा हो रहा मतदान, सुबह से ही लगी लाइनें

राजस्थान की बाड़मेर लोकसभा सीट के एक मतदान केंद्र पर मत की गोपनीयता भंग होने के कारण आज पुनर्मतदान हो रहा है. सुबह 7 बजे वोटिंग शुरू हो चुकी है. गर्मी बढ़ने से पहले ही लोग वोट डालने के लिए मतदान केंद्रों पर पहुंचने लगे हैं. सुबह से ही महिला-पुरुष लाइन में लगकर अपने मतदाधिकार का प्रयोग करने के लिए बारी का इंतजार कर रहे हैं.

1294 मतदान डालेंगे वोट
मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी प्रवीण गुप्ता ने बताया कि चौहटन विधानसभा क्षेत्र के मतदान केंद्र संख्या 50 (राजकीय उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालय, दुधवा खुर्द) पर दोबारा मतदान शाम पांच बजे तक होगा. उन्होंने कहा कि निर्वाचन विभाग ने आयोग के निर्देशानुसार, पुनर्मतदान की सभी तैयारियां कर ली हैं एवं मतदान केंद्र पर वेबकास्टिंग की जाएगी. उनके अनुसार इस मतदान केंद्र पर 1294 मतदाता हैं. इस लोकसभा क्षेत्र में दूसरे चरण के दौरान 26 अप्रैल को मतदान हुआ था. गुप्ता ने बताया कि मतदान दिवस पर इस मतदान पर मत की गोपनीयता भंग होने की शिकायत प्राप्त होने के बाद निर्वाचन विभाग (राजस्थान) द्वारा निर्वाचन आयोग को वहां पुनर्मतदान हेतु प्रस्ताव भेजा था.

4 अधिकारी हुए थे सस्पेंड
अधिकारी ने बताया कि चौहटन (बाड़मेर) के इस मतदान पर 26 अप्रैल को मतदान कराने वाले मतदान दल के चार सदस्यों को जिला कलेक्टर (जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी) बाड़मेर द्वारा निलंबित कर दिया गया है. साथ ही वेबकास्टिंग ‘वेन्डर' के प्रतिनिधि के खिलाफ आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए गए हैं. इनके खिलाफ मतदान की गोपनीयता भंग करने के लिए जनप्रतिनिधित्व कानून, 1951 के तहत कार्रवाई की जाएगी. उल्लेखनीय है कि इससे पहले अजमेर लोकसभा क्षेत्र के एक मतदान केंद्र पर दो मई को पुनर्मतदान हुआ था. राजस्थान में कुल 25 लोकसभा सीट हैं. इनमें से 12 सीट पर 19 अप्रैल को पहले चरण में और 13 सीट पर 26 अप्रैल को दूसरे चरण में मतदान हुआ था.

Re-polling is being held today due to breach of secrecy of vote at a polling booth in Rajasthan's Barmer Lok Sabha seat. Voting has started at 7 am. Even before the heat increases, people have started reaching polling stations to cast their votes. Since morning, men and women have been standing in line waiting for their turn to exercise their franchise.

Will cast 1294 votes
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that re-polling will be held till 5 pm at polling station number 50 (Government Higher Secondary School, Dudhwa Khurd) of Chauhtan Assembly constituency. He said that the Election Department has made all preparations for re-polling as per the instructions of the Commission and webcasting will be done at the polling station. According to him, there are 1294 voters at this polling station. Voting was held in this Lok Sabha constituency during the second phase on 26 April. Gupta said that after receiving a complaint regarding breach of secrecy of voting on the polling day, the Election Department (Rajasthan) had sent a proposal to the Election Commission for re-polling there.

4 officers were suspended
The official said that four members of the polling team who conducted the voting in this election of Chauhtan (Barmer) on April 26 have been suspended by the District Collector (District Election Officer) Barmer. Besides, instructions have been given to take necessary legal action against the representative of the webcasting vendor. Action will be taken against them under the Representation of the People Act, 1951 for violating the secrecy of voting. It is noteworthy that earlier re-polling was held on May 2 at a polling station in Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency. There are total 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan. Of these, voting was held on 12 seats in the first phase on 19 April and on 13 seats in the second phase on 26 April.
