पंजाब के फतेहगढ़ साहिब में आज सुबह करीब 4 बजे दो मालगाड़ियां टकरा गईं। इनमें से एक का इंजन पलट गया और बाजू वाले ट्रैक से गुजर रही पैसेंजर ट्रेन से टकराया। हादसे में मालगाड़ी के 2 लोको पायलट घायल हुए हैं, जिन्हें पटियाला के राजिंद्रा अस्पताल रेफर किया गया।
यह हादसा कुछ वैसा ही था, जैसा बीते साल ओडिशा के बालासोर में हुआ था। उस हादसे में रेलवे ट्रैक पर पहले से खड़ी ट्रेन को दूसरी ट्रेन ने आकर टक्कर मारी थी। इस टक्कर के दौरान तीसरी गाड़ी वहां से गुजर रही थी, वह भी हादसे का शिकार हुई। इस रेल हादसे में 293 से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत और 1,000 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हुए थे।
फतेहगढ़ साहिब में हुए इस हादसे की रूपरेखा कुछ वैसी ही है, लेकिन गति धीमी होने के कारण एक बड़ा हादसा होने से टल गया है।

एक लोको पायलट को सिर, दूसरे को पीठ में चोट
फतेहगढ़ साहिब के सिविल अस्पताल में डॉ. इरविन प्रीत कौर ने बताया है कि रेल हादसे के बाद उनके यहां दो लोको पायलट लाए गए थे। उनकी पहचान विकास कुमार और हिमांशु कुमार निवासी सहारनपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश के तौर पर हुई है। विकास को हेड इंजरी है और हिमांशु के पीठ में चोट आई है। इन दोनों को फर्स्ट एड देने के बाद पटियाला रेफर किया गया।
अंबाला से लुधियाना अप लाइन ठप
वहीं, सरहिंद के GRP थाना प्रभारी रतनलाल ने बताया है कि पैसेंजर गाड़ी अंबाला की तरफ आ रही थी। जब वह सरहिंद स्टेशन पर खड़ी थी, तभी यह हादसा हो गया। हादसा कैसे हुआ, यह जांच का विषय है।
इन पहलुओं पर प्रारंभिक जांच
हादसे के बाद रेलवे विभाग द्वारा विभिन्न पहलुओं पर जांच की जा रही है। जांच का मुख्य बिंदु यह है कि जब पहले से एक मालगाड़ी लाइन पर खड़ी थी तो उसी लाइन पर दूसरी गाड़ी कैसे आ गई? वहीं, अगर मालगाड़ी को उसी लाइन पर आने का सिग्नल मिला तो सामने खड़ी दूसरी गाड़ी को ड्राइवर क्यों नहीं देख पाया।
हादसे के पीछे की लापरवाही को लेकर जांच की जा रही है। दूसरी तरफ, अंबाला से लुधियाना अप लाइन ठप हो गई है। यहां से गुजरने वाली हर गाड़ी को डायवर्ट कर दिया गया है। अंबाला डिवीजन के DRM समेत रेलवे, GRP और RPF के सीनियर अधिकारी भी मौके पर पहुंचे हैं।

One loco pilot suffered head injury, the other back injury
Dr. Irwin Preet Kaur at the Civil Hospital in Fatehgarh Sahib has told that two loco pilots were brought to her after the rail accident. They have been identified as Vikas Kumar and Himanshu Kumar, residents of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Vikas has a head injury and Himanshu has a back injury. Both of them were referred to Patiala after giving first aid.
Ambala to Ludhiana up line halted
Meanwhile, Sirhind GRP station in-charge Ratanlal has said that the passenger train was coming towards Ambala. When it was standing at Sirhind station, this accident happened. How the accident happened is a matter of investigation.
Preliminary investigation on these aspects
After the accident, the railway department is investigating various aspects. The main point of investigation is that when a goods train was already standing on the line, how did another train come on the same line? At the same time, if the goods train got the signal to come on the same line, then why could the driver not see the other train standing in front.
Investigation is being done regarding the negligence behind the accident. On the other hand, Ambala to Ludhiana up line has come to a halt. Every train passing through here has been diverted. Senior officials of railways, GRP and RPF, including DRM of Ambala division, have also reached the spot.
