दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी में बुधवार सुबह उस समय हड़कंप मच गया जब दो प्रतिष्ठित कॉलेज—रामजस कॉलेज और देशबंधु कॉलेज—को बम से उड़ाने की धमकी भरा ईमेल मिला। जैसे ही ईमेल की जानकारी कॉलेज प्रशासन को मिली, तुरंत दिल्ली पुलिस को सूचना दी गई। मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पुलिस ने बिना देर किए बम स्क्वॉड, डॉग स्क्वॉड और लोकल थानों की टीमों को मौके पर भेजा।
सूचना मिलते ही कॉलेज प्रशासन ने छात्रों और स्टाफ को इमारत से बाहर निकलवाने का निर्णय लिया। कुछ ही मिनटों में दोनों कॉलेजों की इमारतें खाली करवा दी गईं और पूरे कैंपस को सील कर पुलिस व सुरक्षा दलों ने तलाशी अभियान शुरू किया।
पुलिस टीमों ने कक्षाओं, लैब, लाइब्रेरी, प्रशासनिक ब्लॉक, पार्किंग एरिया और मैदानों सहित हर हिस्से को बारीकी से खंगाला। डॉग स्क्वॉड ने भी कई चक्कर लगाए, लेकिन अभी तक किसी भी प्रकार की संदिग्ध वस्तु, विस्फोटक सामग्री या खतरनाक सामान नहीं मिला है।
दिल्ली पुलिस के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि सुबह कंट्रोल रूम पर कॉल मिली थी कि DU के दो कॉलेजों को धमकी भरा ईमेल प्राप्त हुआ है। इस ईमेल में स्पष्ट रूप से दोनों कॉलेजों को बम से उड़ाने की बात लिखी थी।
अधिकारियों ने यह भी कहा कि इस तरह के मेल को हल्के में नहीं लिया जा सकता क्योंकि हाल के वर्षों में कई शरारती तत्व इस तरह की हरकतें कर चुकी हैं, जिनसे सुरक्षा एजेंसियां पहले से ही सतर्क हैं।
फिलहाल मामला दिल्ली पुलिस साइबर सेल को सौंप दिया गया है। शुरुआती जांच में पता चला है कि ईमेल किसी अज्ञात स्रोत से भेजा गया है और भेजने वाले ने अपनी लोकेशन व पहचान छिपाने के लिए प्रॉक्सी सर्वर का उपयोग किया है। पुलिस टीम मेल सर्वर, ईमेल हेडर और IP ट्रेसिंग के जरिए भेजने वाले का पता लगाने में जुटी है।
अधिकारियों ने बताया कि यह भी संभव है कि यह एक “मिसचीफ़ मेल” हो, जो सिर्फ दहशत फैलाने के उद्देश्य से भेजा गया हो, लेकिन जब तक सभी तकनीकी जांच पूरी नहीं हो जातीं, किसी भी संभावना को नकारा नहीं जा सकता।
सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने DU प्रशासन को सतर्क रहने और अतिरिक्त सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को बढ़ाने का निर्देश दिया है।
छात्रों और अभिभावकों में इस धमकी के बाद चिंता का माहौल है, लेकिन पुलिस ने भरोसा दिलाया है कि स्थिति पूरी तरह नियंत्रित है और किसी भी प्रकार के खतरे की जानकारी अभी तक सामने नहीं आई है।
Two DU colleges receive bomb threats; police and bomb squad launch search operation
Delhi University was thrown into a panic on Wednesday morning when two prestigious colleges—Ramjas College and Deshbandhu College—received emails threatening bombings. Upon receiving the emails, the college administration immediately informed the Delhi Police. Considering the seriousness of the situation, the police immediately dispatched bomb squads, dog squads, and teams from local police stations to the scene.
Upon receiving the information, the college administration decided to evacuate students and staff from the buildings. Within minutes, both college buildings were evacuated, and the entire campus was sealed off, and police and security teams began a search operation.
Police teams thoroughly searched every area, including classrooms, labs, libraries, the administrative block, parking areas, and grounds. The dog squad also conducted several rounds, but no suspicious objects, explosives, or dangerous materials have been found so far.
Delhi Police officials stated that the control room received a call in the morning informing them that two DU colleges had received a threatening email. The email explicitly threatened to bomb both colleges.
Officials also stated that such emails cannot be taken lightly, as numerous mischievous elements have engaged in similar activities in recent years, and security agencies are already vigilant.
The case has been handed over to the Delhi Police Cyber Cell. Initial investigations have revealed that the email was sent from an unknown source and that the sender used a proxy server to conceal their location and identity. Police teams are investigating the sender through mail servers, email headers, and IP tracing.
Officials stated that it is also possible that this email was a "mischief mail" sent solely to spread panic, but no possibility can be ruled out until all technical investigations are complete.
Security agencies have instructed the DU administration to remain vigilant and increase security.
The threat has created an atmosphere of anxiety among students and parents, but the police have assured that the situation is fully under control and no threat has been reported yet.
