श्रीगंगानगर में अपराधियों के हौसले लगातार बढ़ते दिख रहे हैं। शुक्रवार रात एक फर्नीचर व्यापारी से लाल मिर्च पाउडर फेंककर लाखों रुपए लूटने की वारदात सामने आई है। बाइक सवार बदमाश व्यापारी की आंखों में मिर्ची झोंककर कैश से भरा बैग और लैपटॉप लेकर फरार हो गए। यह घटना सदर थाना क्षेत्र के हनुमानगढ़ रोड पर चेताली एनक्लेव के सामने हुई।

शोरूम बंद कर घर जा रहा था व्यापारी

मनन फर्नीचर के मालिक गुरसिमरन ने बताया कि वह रोज की तरह शुक्रवार शाम करीब 8 बजे इंद्रा वाटिका स्थित अपना फर्नीचर शोरूम बंद करने के बाद स्कूटी से घर लौट रहे थे। जैसे ही वह चेताली एनक्लेव के सामने पहुंचे और गली में मुड़ने वाले थे, तभी पीछे से आए दो बाइक सवार उनके पास आकर रुके।

आंखों में मिर्ची डालकर छीना बैग

व्यापारी के अनुसार, बाइक सवारों ने कुछ पूछने के बहाने पास आने की कोशिश की। उसी दौरान एक बदमाश ने सीधे उनकी आंखों में लाल मिर्ची पाउडर फेंक दिया। अचानक हुए हमले से वह संभल नहीं पाए। इसी बीच बदमाशों ने उनके हाथ में पकड़ा पैसों से भरा बैग और लैपटॉप बैग छीन लिया और तेज रफ्तार में हनुमानगढ़ की तरफ भाग गए।

चोरी हुए बैग में करीब 4 लाख रुपए नकद और महत्वपूर्ण डॉक्यूमेंट थे। जबकि लैपटॉप में व्यापार से जुड़े जरूरी डेटा और अकाउंट डिटेल्स थीं।

सूचना पर पहुंची पुलिस, CCTV तलाश जारी

पीड़ित व्यापारी ने किसी तरह घर पहुंचकर परिवार को वारदात की जानकारी दी और तुरंत पुलिस को सूचना दी। सदर थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और जांच शुरू की। पुलिस आसपास लगे CCTV कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाल रही है, ताकि बदमाशों की पहचान की जा सके।

व्यापारियों में दहशत

इस घटना के बाद इलाके के व्यापारियों में दहशत फैल गई है। व्यापारिक संगठनों ने मांग की है कि मुख्य सड़कों और मार्केट क्षेत्रों में गश्त बढ़ाई जाए। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि हनुमानगढ़ रोड पर रात के समय अपराधी सक्रिय रहते हैं, इसलिए सुरक्षा व्यवस्था मजबूत होनी चाहिए।

पुलिस का बयान

पुलिस अधिकारियों के अनुसार, यह वारदात पूरी तरह प्लानिंग के साथ की गई लगती है। बदमाशों ने व्यापारी का पीछा किया और घर के करीब पहुंचने पर हमला किया, जिससे संभावना बढ़ती है कि उन्हें व्यापारी के रोज बैठने-उठने का समय पहले से पता था।

पुलिस आसपास के जिलों में भी सूचना भेजकर संदिग्ध बाइक और आरोपियों की तलाश कर रही है। जल्द ही बदमाशों का पर्दाफाश होने की उम्मीद जताई जा रही है।

Businessman was returning home after closing his showroom

Gursimran, the owner of Manan Furniture, stated that as usual, he was returning home on his scooter around 8 PM on Friday evening after closing his furniture showroom located in Indra Vatika. As he reached Cheetali Enclave and was about to turn into a lane, two men on a motorcycle stopped beside him.

Bag snatched after chili powder attack

According to the businessman, the motorcyclists tried to approach him under the pretext of asking a question. At that moment, one of the attackers threw red chili powder directly into his eyes. He was unable to react to the sudden attack. The criminals then snatched the bag containing cash and his laptop bag and sped away towards Hanumangarh.

The stolen bag contained approximately 4 lakh rupees in cash and important documents. The laptop contained crucial business data and account details.

Police arrived, CCTV footage being examined

The victim somehow managed to reach home and informed his family about the incident, who immediately notified the police. Sadar police arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Police are examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the culprits.

Fear among businessmen

This incident has spread fear among businessmen in the area. Business organizations have demanded increased patrolling on main roads and market areas. Local residents say that criminals are active on Hanumangarh Road at night, and therefore, security arrangements should be strengthened.

According to police officials, the crime appears to have been meticulously planned. The criminals followed the businessman and attacked him near his home, suggesting they were aware of his daily routine. Police are also sending out information to surrounding districts and searching for the suspected motorcycle and the culprits. It is expected that the criminals will be apprehended soon.
