पंजाब के फिरोजपुर जिले में एक बहू ससुराल वालों को खाने में नशीला पदार्थ खिलाकर अपने प्रेमी संग भाग गई। थाना सिटी पुलिस ने शुक्रवार को आरोपी प्रेमी के खिलाफ मामला दर्जकर आगे की कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है। यह वारदात जीरा के घोड़ मुहल्ला में घटी है।

घोड़ मुहल्ला के रहने वाले एक व्यक्ति ने पुलिस को शिकायत दी है कि उसने अपने बेटे की शादी नानक नगरी की रहने वाली एक लड़की संग करवाई थी। बहू ने उन्हें रात के भोजन में कोई नशीली वस्तु मिलाकर खिला दिया। खाना खाने के बाद सभी बेहोश हो गए। उन्होंने बताया कि रात दो बजे उनकी नींद खुली तो देखा कि घर से बहू गायब थी। उसकी तलाश शुरू की गई। बाद में पता चला कि वह अपने प्रेमी के साथ भाग गई है।

उधर, उक्त मामले की तफ्तीश कर रहे एएसआई भगवान सिंह का कहना है कि ससुर की शिकायत पर आरोपी प्रेमी के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। युवती के खिलाफ मामला अभी दर्ज नहीं किया है। इस संबंध में वह कानूनी सलाह लेने के बाद ही युवती पर मामला दर्ज किया जाएगा। युवती की तलाश की जा रही है।
