चंडीगढ़. पंजाब में एक एलजीबीटीक्यू जोड़े की गुरुद्वारे में पारंपरिक रीति-रिवाज के साथ हुई शादी आजकल चर्चा का विषय बनी हुई है. अकाल तख्त के जत्थेदार ज्ञानी रघबीर सिंह ने इस विवाह को अप्राकृतिक और सिख धर्म के सिद्धांतों के खिलाफ बताया. उन्होंने बठिंडा गुरुद्वारा कमेटी को शादी करवाने वाले ग्रंथी हरदेव सिंह और तीन अन्य को आगामी सूचना तक निलंबित किए जाने का फरमान जारी कर दिया. अब सिखों की सबसे बड़ी धार्मिक संस्था शिरोमणि गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी धर्मसंकट में है और इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि इस मामले में धार्मिक नियमों का उल्लंघन तो नहीं हुआ है. इस एलजीबीटीक्यू जोड़े यानी 27 वर्षीय डिंपल और 21 साल की मनीषा ने अपने परिजनों के आशीर्वाद से 18 सितंबर को बठिंडा के एक गुरुद्वारे में शादी की थी. डिंपल मानसा जिले से हैं जबकि मनीषा बठिंडा से. डिंपल जाट सिख हैं जो ऊंची जाति मानी जाती है जबकि मनीषा दलित हिंदू हैं. इस जोड़े की प्रेमकथा भी अनूठी है.

ऐसे शुरू हुई दोनों की लव स्टोरी

27 साल की डिंपल किसी काम के सिलसिले में जीरकपुर आई हुई थी. इस दौरान उसे एलजीबीटीक्यू के मामलों की जानकारी हासिल हुई. उसने यूट्यूब पर भी सर्च कर अपने जैसे विचारों के लोगों के बारे में काफी कुछ पढ़ा. बीबीसी को दिए एक साक्षात्कार में उसने बताया कि मनीषा उसका पहला प्यार नहीं था. इससे पहले वह एक अन्य लड़की के साथ पांच साल से रिलेशन में थी. इसी साल उससे उसका ब्रेकअप हो गया था. इसके बाद उसे एक और लड़की मिली पर यह सिलसिला भी तीन चार माह में ही खत्म हो गया.

डिंपल ने बताया कि इसके बाद मनीषा से उनकी दोस्ती हुई. वह कहती हैं कि मुझे एहसास हुआ कि मेरे लिए मनीषा अच्छी साथी साबित हो सकती हैं. मैं उसके काफी करीब आ गई थी और कई घंटे साथ बिताने लगे थे. एक दूसरे से बातचीत के दौरान दोनों ने एक दूसरे को समझा. करीब तीन चार दिन की मुलाकात के बाद डिंपल ने मनीषा को शादी के लिए प्रपोज किया और दोनों शादी के लिए राज हो गए. डिंपल का कहना है कि शादी करने के लिए अपने माता-पिता को राजी कराना मनीषा के लिए आसान नहीं था. वह कहती हैं कि मां ने मुझसे कहा कि लड़की से शादी करना संभव नहीं है. बाद में उन्हें यह कहकर मनाया कि अगर वो मुझे खुश देखना चाहती हैं तो मुझे अपनी मर्जी से शादी करने दें. डिंपल और मनीषा का कहना है कि उन्होंने कभी अपनी पहचान नहीं छुपाई.

This LGBTQ couple, 27-year-old Dimple and 21-year-old Manisha, got married on September 18 at a Gurudwara in Bathinda with the blessings of their families. Dimple is from Mansa district while Manisha is from Bathinda. Dimple is a Jat Sikh who is considered an upper caste while Manisha is a Dalit Hindu. The love story of this couple is also unique.

This is how their love story started

27 year old Dimple had come to Zirakpur for some work. During this time he got information about LGBTQ issues. He also searched on YouTube and read a lot about like-minded people. In an interview given to BBC, he told that Manisha was not his first love. Before this, she was in a relationship with another girl for five years. She had a breakup with him this year. After this he met another girl but this relationship also ended within three-four months.

Dimple told that after this she became friends with Manisha. She says that I realized that Manisha can prove to be a good partner for me. I became very close to him and started spending many hours together. While talking to each other, both of them understood each other. After meeting for about three-four days, Dimple proposed Manisha for marriage and both agreed to get married. Dimple says that it was not easy for Manisha to convince her parents to get married. She says that mother told me that it is not possible to marry a girl. Later I convinced her by saying that if she wants to see me happy then let me marry as per my wish. Dimple and Manisha say that they never hid their identities.
