राजस्थान के बाड़मेर जिले से कांग्रेस के पूर्व विधायक मेवाराम जैन का नाम पिछले तीन दिनों से ट्विटर पर टॉप ट्रेंड में नजर आ रहा है. पहले दो दिन तक मेवाराम जैन के वायरल वीडियो को लेकर चर्चा हो रही थी, लेकिन आज जनता ने मेवाराम जैन की गिरफ्तारी की मांग कर दी. रविवार सुबह से ही #मेवाराम_को_जेल_में_डालो ट्विटर पर ट्रेंड करने लगा. आखिर इस ट्रेंड के पीछे क्या कारण है, और मेवाराम की गिरफ्तारी की मांग के पीछे क्या कहानी है? आइए इसे समझते हैं...

15 दिन पहले 18 धाराओं में केस दर्ज
इस कहानी की शुरुआत 15 दिन पहले उस वक्त हुई जब एक महिला ने जोधपुर पश्चिम के राजीव गांधी नगर थाने में जाकर पूर्ववती गहलोत सरकार में विधायक मेवाराम जैन समेत 9 लोगों के खिलाफ पॉक्सो सहित 18 धाराओं में गैंगरेप का मामला दर्ज कराया. 20 दिसंबर 2023 को दर्ज कराई गई उस FIR में मेवाराम, रामस्वरूप आचार्य, कोतवाल गंगाराम खावा, दाउद खां, बाड़मेर डीसीपी आनंद सिंह राजपुरोहित, बाड़मेर के प्रधान प्रतिनिधि गिरधरसिंह सोढ़ा, नगर परिषद उपसभापति सुरतान सिंह, प्रवीण सेठिया, गोपाल सिंह राजपुरोहित के नामों का जिक्र है. पीड़िता का ये भी आरोप था कि जब मेवाराम विधायक था तो उसने अपने रसूक के दम पर कार्रवाई नहीं होने दी. उल्टा पीड़िता पर ही सेक्सटॉर्शन का केस दर्ज कराकर उसे गिरफ्तार करवा दिया.

दो महिलाओं के साथ रंगरलियां मनाते नजर आए कांग्रेस नेता मेवाराम जैन, अश्लील वीडियो वायरल -

सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुए दो वीडियो
अब पिछले दो दिनों से कुछ अश्लील वीडियो वायरल हो रहे थे, जो बाड़मेर के पूर्व विधायक मेवाराम के बताए जा रहे हैं. एक वीडियो 6 मिनट और दूसरा 53 सेकेंड का है. पुलिस रिपोर्ट में पीड़िता ने कहा था कि पूर्व विधायक ने रेप करते हुए वीडियो भी बनवाया था. 

मेरे साथ रेप करते-करते मेवाराम जैन और रामस्वरूप का मन भर गया तो उसने मुझसे दूसरी 15-16 साल की लड़कियां लाने को कहा था. ये वीडियो एक पैनड्राइव में थे जो इस वक्त सोशल मीडिया पर जमकर वायरल हो रहे हैं. कहा जा रहा है कि 2022 में भी इस वीडियो के तीन स्क्रीनशॉट्स सामने आए थे. उसके बाद 30 अक्टूबर 2022 को बाड़मेर कोतवाली थाने में पीड़िता के खिलाफ सेक्सटॉर्शन का मामला दर्ज कराया गया था. 

कांग्रेस प्रदेशाध्यक्ष ने किया निलंबित
पूर्व विधायक के अश्लील वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने के बाद कांग्रेस प्रदेशाध्यक्ष गोविंद सिंह डोटासरा ने कार्रवाई करते हुए मेवाराम जैन को तत्काल प्रभाव से पार्टी से निलंबित कर दिया है. शनिवार देर शाम सोशल मीडिया पर आदेश की कॉपी शेयर करते हुए कांग्रेस ने ये जानकारी साझा की है. 

भाजपा ने पहले ही इस कार्रवाई में देरी को लेकर कांग्रेस पर आरोप लगाए थे. क्योंकि बाड़मेर के पूर्व विधायक मेवाराम जैन राजस्थान की पिछली सरकार में मंत्री थे. उनकी गिनती बाड़मेर के बड़े कांग्रेसी नेता के रूप में होती है. राजस्थान के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत और राहुल गांधी के साथ भी मेवाराम जैन के कई फोटो वायरल किए जाते रहे हैं. हालांकि, कांग्रेस की तरफ से इस मामले में अब तक कोई बयान नहीं आया.

25 जनवरी तक नहीं हो सकती गिरफ्तारी

दुष्कर्म का मामला सामने आने के बाद पुलिस ने महिला का मेडिकल करवाया था और पीड़िता के बयान भी दर्ज किए थे. लेकिन मेवाराम जैन ने इस मामले में कोर्ट की शरण ली थी, और कहा कि वे पुलिस कार्रवाई में पूरा सहयोग करेंगे. इसके बाद हाईकोर्ट ने राहत देते हुए मेवाराम की गिरफ्तारी पर 25 जनवरी तक रोक लगा दी थी. हालांकि इस दौरान हाईकोर्ट ने पुलिस को पीड़िता की सुरक्षा के इंतजाम करने के आदेश भी जारी किए थे.

Case registered under 18 sections 15 days ago
This story started 15 days ago when a woman went to Rajiv Gandhi Nagar police station in Jodhpur West and filed a case of gang rape under 18 sections including POCSO against 9 people including MLA Mevaram Jain in the previous Gehlot government. In that FIR lodged on December 20, 2023, the names of Mevaram, Ramswaroop Acharya, Kotwal Gangaram Khawa, Daud Khan, Barmer DCP Anand Singh Rajpurohit, Barmer Principal Representative Girdhar Singh Sodha, Municipal Council Deputy Chairman Surtan Singh, Praveen Sethia, Gopal Singh Rajpurohit have been mentioned. There is mention. The victim also alleged that when Mevaram was an MLA, he did not allow action to be taken due to his influence. On the contrary, a case of sextortion was registered against the victim herself and she was arrested.

Two videos went viral on social media
Now for the last two days, some obscene videos were going viral, which are being said to be of former Barmer MLA Mevaram. One video is of 6 minutes and the other of 53 seconds. In the police report, the victim had said that the former MLA had also made a video while raping her.

When Mevaram Jain and Ram Swaroop were satisfied with raping me, they asked me to bring other 15-16 year old girls. These videos were in a pendrive which are currently going viral on social media. It is being said that even in 2022, three screenshots of this video were revealed. After that, on October 30, 2022, a case of sextortion was registered against the victim at Barmer Kotwali police station.

Congress state president suspended
After the obscene video of the former MLA went viral on social media, Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara took action and suspended Mevaram Jain from the party with immediate effect. Congress has shared this information while sharing a copy of the order on social media late Saturday evening.

BJP had already accused Congress of delaying this action. Because former Barmer MLA Mevaram Jain was a minister in the previous government of Rajasthan. He is counted as a big Congress leader of Barmer. Many photos of Mevaram Jain with former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Rahul Gandhi have also been going viral. However, no statement has come from Congress in this matter yet.

Arrest cannot be made till January 25
After the rape case came to light, the police got the woman medically examined and also recorded the statement of the victim. But Mevaram Jain had taken refuge in the court in this matter, and said that he would fully cooperate in the police action. After this, the High Court gave relief and stayed the arrest of Mevaram till January 25. However, during this time the High Court had also issued orders to the police to make arrangements for the security of the victim.
