पिटबुल कुत्ते के काटने के मामले अक्सर सामने आते रहते हैं, लेकिन फिर भी लोग इन्हें पालने से परहेज नहीं करते हैं। ताजा मामला कस्बा हरचोवाल के गांव बहादुरपुर रजोआ से सामने आया है, जहां पर 85 वर्षीय बुजुर्ग को पड़ोसियों के पिटबुल कुत्ते ने अपना शिकार बना दिया।

कुत्ते ने बुजुर्ग के चेहरे, गर्दन, हाथ और टांग पर बुरी तरह से काट डाला। उसे इलाज के लिए पहले सीएचसी हरचोवाल ले जाया गया, जहां से उसे प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद सिविल अस्पताल गुरदासपुर रेफर कर दिया गया। पारिवारिक सदस्यों के अनुसार कुत्ता करीब 20 मिनट तक बुजुर्ग को नोचता रहा। उन्होंने बड़ी मुश्किल से उसे कुत्ते से छुडवाया। फिलहाल बुजुर्ग की हालत में सुधार बताया जाता है।

पड़ोसियों के पिटबुल ने किया हमला
सिविल अस्पताल में भर्ती बुजुर्ग छल्ला राम के भतीजे रमन कुमार ने बताया कि उनके ताया उनके साथ ही रहते हैं। दोपहर को रोटी खाने के लिए वह अपनी दुकान से घर आ रहे थे, जब वह घर के नजदीक पहुंचे तो पड़ोसियों के पिटबुल कुत्ते ने उन पर हमला कर दिया। उसका आरोप है कि उक्त कुत्ते को पड़ोसी ने खुला छोड़ रखा था, जबकि वह पहले भी कई लोगों पर हमला कर चुका है। कुत्ते ने उसके ताया को बुरी तरह से नोच दिया।

बुरी तरह से किया घायल
उनके चिल्लाने की आवाज सुनकर उसकी भाभी शावन्या मौके पर पहुंची तो देखा की कुत्ते ने उनके ताया को बुरी तरह से पकड़ा हुआ था। उन्होंने बड़ी मुश्किल से डंडों की सहायता से कुत्ते को वहां से भगाया, लेकिन तब तक कुत्ते ने उनके ताया को बुरी तरह से घायल कर दिया था। उसने बताया कि उनके घर में कुछ बच्चे भी पढ़ने आते हैं, जिन्हें इस कुत्ते से लगातार खतरा बना रहता है। ऐसे कुत्ते रखने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिए।

काफी गहरे हैं जख्‍म
उधर, सिविल अस्पताल में ड्यूटी पर तैनात इमरजेंसी मेडिकल अधिकारी डॉ. भूपेश कुमार ने बताया कि कुत्ते के काटने से बुजुर्ग का चेहरा, गर्दन, हाथ और पैर गंभीर रूप से जख्मी हो गए हैं। कुत्ते ने बुजुर्ग को बुरी तरह से नोचा है। बुजुर्ग के परिजनों ने बताया कि उन्हें पिटबुल कुत्ते ने नोचा है। कुत्ते के काटने के जख्म काफी गहरे हैं, इसलिए जख्मों पर टांके लगाने पड़े हैं। इलाज के बाद बुजुर्ग की हालत अब खतरे से बाहर है।

The dog bit the elderly man badly on his face, neck, hand and leg. He was first taken to CHC Harchowal for treatment, from where he was referred to Civil Hospital Gurdaspur after first aid. According to family members, the dog kept scratching the old man for about 20 minutes. With great difficulty they freed him from the dog. At present the condition of the elderly is said to be improving.

Neighbor's pitbull attacked
Raman Kumar, nephew of elderly Challa Ram admitted in the Civil Hospital, told that his uncle lives with him. He was coming home from his shop to eat bread in the afternoon, when he reached near the house, the neighbor's pitbull dog attacked him. His allegation is that the said dog was left loose by the neighbor, whereas it has attacked many people before also. The dog scratched his uncle badly.

Hearing his shouting, his sister-in-law Shavanya reached the spot and saw that the dog was holding her uncle tightly. With great difficulty he chased the dog away with the help of sticks, but by then the dog had badly injured his uncle. He told that some children also come to their house to study, who are in constant danger from this dog. Strict action should be taken against those keeping such dogs.

On the other hand, Dr. Bhupesh Kumar, the emergency medical officer on duty at the Civil Hospital, said that the old man's face, neck, hands and legs were seriously injured due to the dog bite. The dog has scratched the old man badly. The family members of the old man told that he was bitten by a pitbull dog. The dog bite wounds were very deep, so stitches had to be put on the wounds. After treatment, the condition of the elderly is now out of danger.
