सलोनी के मुताबिक, "मेरे लिए ये किसी सपने के सच होने जैसा था, क्योंकि अनिकेत सर क्लासरूम के सिवा कोई ट्यूशन नहीं लेते थे। जब मैंने उनसे ट्यूशन की रिक्वेस्ट की तो पता नहीं क्यों पर उन्होंने इनकार नहीं किया। शुरू-शुरू में मेरे साथ मेरी एक दोस्त भी उनके घर ट्यूशन लेने जाती थी, लेकिन उसके पापा का किसी और शहर में ट्रांसफर हो गया, और वो फैमिली के साथ शिफ्ट हो गई। स्कूल खत्म होने के बाद मैं पहले घर आती फिर शाम को अनिकेत सर के घर पढ़ने जाया करती थी। दो-तीन महीने में ही फिजिक्स और मैथ के मेरे कई डाउट्स क्लियर हो गए। अनिकेत सर की उम्र 25-26 साल थी और वो काफी हैंडसम और स्मार्ट थे। उन्होंने मुझे बताया कि उनकी शादी नहीं हुई है और वो अकेले ही रहते थे। मेरे क्लास की कई लड़कियां मजाक-मजाक में मुझे अनिकेत सर का नाम लेकर छेड़ा भी करती थीं। सच कहूं तो मुझे भी वो बहुत अच्छे लगते थे।"

सलोनी की जिंदगी अच्छे से कट रही थी और टेस्ट में उसके अच्छे नंबर आने लगे थे। इसका क्रेडिट सलोनी अपने अनिकेत सर को ही देती थी। सलोनी के पापा रेलवे में कंडक्टर हैं और मां घर पर सिलाई सेंटर चलाती हैं। एक छोटा भाई है जो कॉन्वेंट स्कूल में पढ़ता है। पूरी फैमिली को सलोनी से उम्मीद थी इसलिए वो जी-जान से पढ़ाई में जुटी रही। पर नियति को तो कुछ और ही मंजूर था। एक दिन सलोनी के साथ कुछ ऐसा हुई कि वो हैरान रह गई।

बकौल सलोनी- "फाइनल एग्जाम के दिन करीब थे इसलिए मैंने संडे को भी अनिकेत सर से टयूशन लेना शुरू कर दिया था। एक दिन जब मैं उनके घर पहुंची तो काफी देर बेल बजाने के बाद अनिकेत सर ने दरवाजा खोला। वो काफी डिस्टर्ब लग रहे थे। मैंने पूछा तो बोले कि घरवाले शादी करना चाहते हैं पर वो तैयार नहीं। मेरे काफी पूछने पर उन्होंने जो कहा वो सुनकर मेरे होश उड़ गए। उन्होंने मेरा हाथ पकड़कर कहा कि वो मुझे पसंद करते हैं। मुझे जोर का झटका लगा और मैं वहां से भागकर अपने घर आ गई। उस रात मुझे नींद नहीं आई। मुझे बार-बार उनकी बात याद आ रही थी। दो-तीन दिन तक मैं स्कूल नहीं गई तो वो मेरे घर पहुंच गए। घर में तब कोई नहीं था। मैं घबरा गई तो वो माफी मांगने लगे। मैंने ये बात किसी को नहीं बताई क्योंकि शायद मैं भी उन्हें पसंद करने लगी थी।"

उस घटना के बाद सलोनी और अनिकेत का रिश्ता बदल गया। कच्ची उम्र की सलोनी सही-गलत का फर्क नहीं कर पाई और अपने अनिकेत सर को दिल दे बैठी। उसके बाद वो जब भी ट्यूशन के लिए जाती तो दोनों काफी देर तक एक दूसरे के बारे में बातें करते। पढ़ाई-लिखाई की जगह प्यार-मोहब्बत की बातों ने ले ली। फिर एक दिन ऐसा भी आया जब दोनों के बीच की हर दीवार टूट गई।

सलोनी के मुताबिक, "उस दिन अनिकेत सर का बर्थडे था और मैं गिफ्ट में एक कीमती पेन लेकर गई थी। लेकिन अनिकेत सर ने मुझे किस करने की जिद की और मैं मना नहीं कर सकी। पहले तो वो काफी देर तक मेरे सिर पर हाथ फेरते रहे, फिर धीरे-धीरे मेरे पूरे शरीर को सहलाने लगे। मुझे ये सब अजीब भी लग रहा था पर अच्छा भी लग रहा था। मैंने उन्हें रोकने की कोशिश की तो उन्होंने अपने बर्थडे की बात कहकर मुझे चुप रहने का इशारा किया। उसके बाद मैं भी खुद को रोक नहीं पाई और अपना सब कुछ उन्हें सौंप दिया। उसके बाद हर मुलाकात में हदें टूटती रहीं और मुझे होश तब आया जब एक दिन मुझे ये पता चला कि मैं प्रेग्नेंट हूं।"

तब सलोनी को समझ में नहीं आ रहा था कि वो क्या करे। अनिकेत को जब ये बात पता चली तो उसने किसी तरह समझा-बुझाकर एबॉर्शन करवा दिया। पर उसके बाद अनिकेत उससे दूरी बनाने लगा। सलोनी तो तन-मन से उसे प्यार करने लगी थी पर अनिकेत के दिल में कुछ और ही चल रहा था। एक दिन काफी जिद करने पर अनिकेत ने सलोनी को बताया कि उसकी शादी हो चुकी है और पत्नी मायके में रहती है।

बकौल सलोनी, "मेरे लिए अनिकेत सर की इस सच्चाई पर भरोसा करना मुश्किल था। लेकिन जब मैंने सच जानने के बाद उनकी हरकतों का विरोध किया तो वो ब्लैकमेल पर उतर आए। उन्होंने कहा कि वो मेरे दोस्तों को इस रिश्ते के बारे में बता देंगे और एग्जाम में भी पास नहीं होने देंगे। अब मुझे समझ में नहीं आ रहा कि मैं क्या करूं और अपने परिवार को मुंह कैसे दिखाऊं। कभी कभी सुसाइड करने का भी मन करता है।"
