कोरोना का कहर देखने के बाद अब लोग महामारी के नाम से भी डरने लगे हैं. ऐसे समय एक नई महामारी का खतरा फिर सताने लगा है. इस बीमारी के फैलने की शुरुआत भी कोविड-19 की तरह चीन से ही हो रही है. चीन के कई अस्पतालों में इस रहस्यमयी बीमारी के मरीज देखे गए हैं, जो तेजी से बढ़ते जा रहे हैं. इस पर रिपोर्ट्स आने के बाद विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (WHO) की चिंता भी बढ़ गई है. यह बीमारी खसतौर पर स्कूली बच्चों में देखी जा रही है.

चीन सहित दुनिया के कई देश अब भी कोरोना से पूरी तरह नहीं उबर पाए हैं. ऐसे में अब लोगों को वह समय याद आने लगा है, जब कोरोना शुरुआती दौर में था. वैसे तो इस महामारी को निमोनिया से मिलता-जुलता बताया जा रहा है, लेकिन इसके कई लक्षण निमोनिया से अलग हैं. इसकी चपेट में आने वाले बच्चों के फेफड़ों में सूजन देखी जा रही है. वहीं, उन्हें तेज बुखार के साथ खांसी, फ्लू और सांस लेने में परेशानी जैसी समस्याओं को सामना भी करना पड़ रहा है.

चीन में बच्चों पर ही नजर आ रहा ज्यादा प्रभाव
रहस्यमयी निमोनिया से जुड़े ज्यादातर मरीज चीन के उत्तर-पूर्वी बीजिंग और लियाओनिंग के अस्पतालों में देखे जा रहे हैं. हालत इतनी ज्यादा खराब है कि संसाधनों पर काफी दबाव पड़ने लगा है. बीमारी का प्रकोप इतना ज्यादा है कि सरकार ने यहां स्कूल बंद करने की तैयारी कर ली है. इस बीमारी को लेकर एक ओपन-एक्सेस निगरानी प्रोमेड अलर्ट ने दुनियाभर में चेतावनी जारी की है. दरअसल, यह मंच पूरी दुनिया में इंसान और जानवरों में होने वाली बीमारियों पर नजर बनाए रखता है. चीन में सामने आए रहस्यमी निमोनिया के बारे में चेतावनी देते हुए इस संस्था ने कहा है कि इस बीमारी का प्रकोप खासतौर पर बच्चों पर ही देखा जा रहा है.

इस एजेंसी ने ही जारी किया था कोविड का अलर्ट

प्रोमेड (proMED) अलर्ट ने ही दिसंबर 2019 के अंत में एक नए वायरस के बारे में शुरुआती चेतावनी जारी की थी, जिसे बाद में SARS-कोविड-2 के रूप में पहचाना गया. संस्था के अलर्ट से ही विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के हाई-रैंकिंग ऑफिसर और मेडिकल प्रोफेशनल के साथ-साथ वैज्ञानिकों की एक बड़ी जमात अलर्ट हो गई थी. अलर्ट जारी करने वाली संस्था प्रोमेड अलर्ट ने बताया कि उन्होंने एक अज्ञात बीमारी के बारे में अलर्ट जारी किया है, जो खासतौर पर श्वसन क्रिया को प्रभावित करती है. हालांकि, एजेंसी ने यह भी कहा है कि उन्हें स्पष्ट नहीं है कि इस प्रकोप की शुरुआत कब से हुई. संस्था ने यह भी कहा कि इतने सारे बच्चे एक साथ इतनी जल्दी प्रभावित नहीं हो सकते. रिपोर्ट में यह भी नहीं कहा गया कि इस बच्चे से कोई वयस्क प्रभावित हुआ है.

WHO ने प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में कहा कि इस बीमारी के बारे में चीन ने 13 नवंबर 2023 को स्थानी मीडिया को बताया था. स्वास्थ्य एजेंसी ने चीन से इस बीमारी से जुड़े मामलों पर कड़ी निगरानी रखने के लिए कहा है.
