बीकानेर संभाग के चूरू जिले के साहवा पुलिस ने गुरुवार को बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए डोडा पोस्त तस्करों पर नकेल कसने का कार्य किया। साहवा कस्बे में पुलिस ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए डोडा पोस्त की एक बड़ी खेप को पकड़ा। तारानगर पुलिस उप अधीक्षक मिनाक्षी ने बताया कि चूरू एसपी जय यादव के निर्देशन में नशे के सौदागर व तस्करों के खिलाफ चल रहे विषेष अभियान में साहवा पुलिस ने नोहर रोड पर नाकाबन्दी कर रखी थी। इसी दौरान एक ट्रक तारानगर की तरफ से आया। ट्रक की तलाशी ली तो उसमें धागों के बोरों के नीचे डोडा पोस्त मिला। माप की गई तो पकड़ा गया माल 17 क्विंटल 11 किलो 400 ग्राम पाया गया।
पुलिस ने चालक पंजाब निवासी पलबिन्दर पुत्र बलबंत सिंह जट सिख निवासी मजारा साहने वाला लुधियाना और मंगल पासवान पुत्र रामदेव निवासी मुकन्दरपुर तह महाराजगंज उत्तर प्रदेश को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। डीवाईएसपी मीनाक्षी ने बताया कि प्रारंभिक पूछताछ में आरोपियों ने बताया कि डोडा पोस्त चितौड़गढ़ के भादसोड़ा से पंजाब के मोगा ले जाया जाना था। पुलिस ने उक्त मामला एनडीपीएस में मामला दर्ज कर आगे की जांच प्रारम्भ कर दी है। गौरतलब है कि इसी क्रम में पुलिस ने तारानगर व भालेरी थाना पुलिस ने भी एनडीपीएस मामले में गांजा पकड़ने की कार्रवाई भी की है।

When measurement was done, the seized material was found to be 17 quintals, 11 kg, 400 grams.
Police arrested the driver Punjab resident Palbinder son of Balbant Singh Jat Sikh resident of Mazara Sahnewala, Ludhiana and Mangal Paswan son of Ramdev resident of Mukanderpur Teh Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. DYSP Meenakshi said that during initial interrogation, the accused told that Doda poppy was to be taken from Bhadsoda in Chittorgarh to Moga in Punjab. Police have registered the matter with NDPS and started further investigation. It is noteworthy that in the same sequence, Taranagar and Bhaleri police station have also taken action to seize ganja in the NDPS case.
