चुनाव आयोग के सख्त रुख अपनाने के बाद राज्य में चुनाव ड्यूटी पर तैनात पुलिसकर्मी कोई कोताही नहीं बरतना चाहते हैं। यही वजह है कि गड़बड़ी की आशंका के चलते मंगलवार रात को पुलिस की टीम ने एक ट्रक को राजमार्ग पर रोक दिया। मामले की जानकारी देते हुए तेलंगाना पुलिस के नोडल अधिकारी संजय कुमार जैन ने कहा, "चेकिंग के दौरान ट्रक से 750 करोड़ रुपए की नकदी बरामद हुई। मामले में ऐक्शन लेने के लिए चुनाव अधिकारियों को गद्वाल पुलिस की सहायता लेनी पड़ी।

During his recent visit to Hyderabad before announcing the Telangana election schedule in Delhi, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar had directed state election officials to curb smuggling through Hyderabad from Goa and other places. He was also unhappy with the 'low' cash seizure by the state police. Following complaints from opposition parties, the Election Commission has also transferred top IPS officers, four collectors and senior officials.

On Wednesday, Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj said in a statement that after confirmation from bank officials, the truck was released for onward journey. Vikas Raj said, "The truck carrying Rs 750 crore in cash remained in the headlines for a few hours, but eventually we learned that it was a straight-up chest-to-chest money transfer. Once verified, the police seized the truck. Was allowed to continue his journey."

कुछ घंटों के सस्पेंस के बाद यह मामला बिना किसी हलचल के शांत हो गया क्योंकि पता लगा कि नकदी यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का था, जिसे केरल से हैदराबाद ले जाया जा रहा था। बुधवार को तेलंगाना के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी विकास राज ने एक बयान में कहा कि बैंक अधिकारियों से पुष्टि के बाद ट्रक को आगे की यात्रा के लिए छोड़ दिया गया। विकास राज ने कहा, "750 करोड़ रुपये नकद वाला ट्रक कुछ घंटों के लिए सुर्खियों में रहा, लेकिन अंततः हमें पता चला कि यह सीधा-सीधा चेस्ट-टू-चेस्ट मनी ट्रांसफर था। एक बार सत्यापित होने के बाद, पुलिस ने ट्रक को अपनी यात्रा जारी रखने की अनुमति दे दी थी।"
