कर्नाटक के रायचूर जिले में 'चमत्कार' हुआ है। एक गांव में कृष्णा नदी से भगवान विष्णु की प्रतिमा मिली है। भगवान विष्णु की ये प्रतिमा करीब हजार साल पुरानी बताई जा रही है। खास बात ये है कि ये प्रतिमा बिल्कुल रामलला की नवनिर्मित प्रतिमा से मिलती-जुलती है। बता दें कि अयोध्या में 22 जनवरी को राम मंदिर में रामलला की प्रतिमा स्थापित की गई है। पुरातत्ववेत्ताओं के अनुसार ये प्रतिमा 11वीं या 12वीं शताब्दी की हो सकती है।
प्रतिमा के साथ मिला शिवलिंग
भगवान विष्णु के इस विग्रह के साथ ही एक प्राचीन शिवलिंग भी मिला है। भगवान विष्णु के इस विग्रह का रूप-रंग और स्वरूप अयोध्या में राम लला के भव्य-दिव्य मंदिर में स्थापित विग्रह से मिलता-जुलता है।
कैसी दिखती है प्रतिमा?
भगवान विष्णु की इस प्रतिमा के प्रभामंडल के चारों ओर ‘दशावतारों’ को उकेरा गया है। प्रतिमा पर मत्स्य, कूर्म, वराह, नरसिम्हा, वामन, राम, परशुराम, कृष्ण, बुद्ध और कल्की अलंकृत हैं। विष्णु जी की प्रतिमा के चार हाथ हैं, जिसमें दो ऊपर उठे हाथ शंख और चक्र से सुसज्जित हैं। नीचे की ओर सीधे किए दो हाथ आशीर्वाद की मुद्रा में हैं। इनमें एक ‘कटि हस्त’ और दूसरा ‘वरद हस्त’ है।
तोड़फोड़ से बचाने के लिए नदीं में डाला गया
विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि यह प्रतिमा एक मंदिर के गर्भगृह का हिस्सा रही होगी। हो सकता है कि इसे मंदिर में हुई तोड़फोड़ से बचाने के लिए नदी में डाला गया होगा। इस प्रतिमा को थोड़ी क्षति पहुंची है। विग्रह की नाक थोड़ी क्षतिग्रस्त है।

This statue of Lord Vishnu is said to be about a thousand years old. The special thing is that this statue is exactly similar to the newly built statue of Ramlala. Let us tell you that the statue of Ramlala has been installed in the Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22 January. According to archaeologists, this statue could be from the 11th or 12th century.
Shivling found with the statue
Along with this idol of Lord Vishnu, an ancient Shivalinga has also been found. The appearance and form of this idol of Lord Vishnu is similar to the idol installed in the grand and divine temple of Ram Lala in Ayodhya.
What does the statue look like?
‘Dasavataras’ are carved around the halo of this statue of Lord Vishnu. The statue is decorated with Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Ram, Parashuram, Krishna, Buddha and Kalki. The idol of Lord Vishnu has four hands, out of which the two raised hands are equipped with conch and chakra. The two hands straight downwards are in the posture of blessing. One of these is ‘Kati Hasta’ and the other is ‘Varad Hasta’.
Poured into the river to protect it from vandalism
Experts believe that this statue might have been part of the sanctum sanctorum of a temple. It may have been thrown into the river to protect the temple from vandalism. This statue has suffered some damage. The nose of the idol is slightly damaged.
