Massive explosion in LPG cylinder kept in car, young man burnt alive

Shri Ganga Nagar. A fire broke out in a raw area in New Chawla Colony near Pavandham Road on Jassa Singh Marg in the city at around 12 noon on Monday after a massive explosion in a filled LPG cylinder kept in a car. Due to which the young man driving the car was burnt alive on the seat. When people saw the car burning after the loud explosion, they informed the police and fire brigade. Fire fighters reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Police officers reached the spot and a crowd of people gathered here.

Police said that Sanket Bansal (25), son of Shravan Bansal, resident of colony Vasudev Nagar street number three, Pavandham Road, had filled the LPG cylinder in the car between 11.30 and 12 noon and was going towards the mill to grind wheat.

While leaving the kutcha road of New Chawla Colony on Pavandhan Road, the LPG cylinder kept on the back seat of the car suddenly exploded and the roof of the car fell about twenty feet away and the LPG cylinder burst and came out.

During this incident, Sanket remained sitting inside on the driving seat and was burnt alive. When people nearby reached there after hearing the loud bang, the car was burning. People informed the fire brigade and police. Fire fighters reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

On receiving information about the matter, CO City Prashant Kaushik and Kotwal Devendra Singh reached the spot. People informed Sanket Bansal's family. The family members reached the spot. Whose condition became worse due to crying. FSL etc. reached the spot.

Suspicion of cylinder leaking
Police officers on the spot said that looking at the incident, it seems that there could be leakage in the LPG cylinder, due to which gas got accumulated in the car and due to some reason the car caught fire, due to which the LPG cylinder exploded. During this time, Sanket Bansal, who was driving the car, did not get a chance to get out and he was burnt alive.

Plants also get burnt by car
- Where the LPG cylinder in the car caught fire, the trees and plants growing out of a compound were also burnt. Looking at this, it seems that there was a huge fire in the car. Due to the explosion, the roof of the car broke and fell into the nearby premises.

Had the car been on the road, a major accident could have happened.
People gathered at the spot said that the explosion in the car was very powerful. If the same accident had happened on the road, it could have caused a lot of harm to the people nearby. Other vehicles and people passing around the car could also have been harmed. The accident happened on a rough road where no one was there.
