जानिए कौन है IAS सुधांश पंत, राजस्थान के नए मुख्य सचिव; केंद्र ने किया रिलीव

राजस्थान को नए साल की पूर्व संध्या से पहले नया मुख्य सचिव मिल गया है। वरिष्ठ आईएएस सुधांश पंत नए मुख्य सचिव होंगे। पंत को केंद्र सरकार ने रिलीव कर दिया है। राजस्थान कैडर के आईएएस अधिकारी पंत मोदी के पसंदीदा अफसर माने जाते है। गहलोत सरकार में जलदाय विभाग के अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव थे। बाड़मेर समेत कई जिलों के कलेक्टर रह चुके है। कोरोना काल में स्वास्थ्य विभाग की जिम्मेदारी संभाली थी। राजस्थान कैडर के 1991 बैच के आईएएस अधिकारी सुधांश पंत मुख्य सचिव होंगे। पंत उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ के रहने वाले हैं। पंत राजस्थान में विभिन्न पदों पर रहे है। पिछली गहलोत सरकार में विभिन्न पदों पर रहे। लेकिन बाद में सेंट्रल डेप्युटेशन पर दिल्ली चले गए थे

विभिन्न जिलों के कलेक्टर रहे हैं

पंत 1993 में जयपुर में एसडीएम रहे है। उसके बाद जैसलमेर कलक्टर रहे. झुंझुनूं, भीलवाड़ा, जयपुर में कलक्टर रह चुके हैं। जेडीए के कमिश्नर भी रहे हैं।राजस्थान के कॄषि विभाग के कमिश्नर रहे हैं। स्वास्थ्य विभाग दिल्ली में संयुक्त सचिव रहे हैं। राजस्थान सरकार में वन पर्यवारण विभाग में प्रिंसिपल सचिव रहे हैं। राजस्थान के प्रदूषण कंट्रोल बोर्ड के चेयरमैन रहे हैं। रिलीव होने से पहले भारत सरकार के स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय में सचिव के पद पर काम कर रहे थे।

रेस में ये दावेदार थे

राजस्थान में मुख्य सचिव ऊषा शर्मा सेवानिवृत्त हो गई है। 31 दिसंबर तक ही उनका कार्यकाल था। ऊषा शर्मा भी यूपी की रहने वाली थी। ऊषा शर्मा के बाद एक बार फिर ब्राह्मण को मुख्य सचिव बनाया गया है। माना जा रहा है कि पंत की नियुक्ति जातिगत समीकरण साधने के लिए की गई है। पंत के अलावा आईएएस सुबोध अग्रवाल, राजेश्वर सिंह, संजय मल्होत्रा और शुभ्रा सिंह मुख्य सचिव की प्रमुख दावेदार थी। लेकिन शुभ्रा सिंह पिछड़ गई है। पंत को राजस्थान सरकार से 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 में अवार्ड मिल चुका है। माना जा रहा है कि राजस्थान की वित्तीय व्यवस्थाओं का पंत को बेहतर अनुभव है उसका लाभ यहां सरकार लेना चाहती है। इनसे 6 वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को पीछे छोड़ा गया है।

Rajasthan has got a new Chief Secretary before the New Year's Eve. Senior IAS Sudhansh Pant will be the new Chief Secretary. Pant has been relieved by the Central Government. Pant, an IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, is considered to be Modi's favorite officer. Gehlot was the Additional Chief Secretary of the Water Supply Department in the government. Has been collector of many districts including Barmer. Took charge of the health department during the Corona period. Sudhansh Pant, a 1991 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, will be the Chief Secretary. Pant is a resident of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Pant has held various positions in Rajasthan. He held various positions in the previous Gehlot government. But later he went to Delhi on central deputation.

Has been collector of various districts

Pant has been SDM in Jaipur since 1993. After that he was Jaisalmer Collector. Has been collector in Jhunjhunu, Bhilwara, Jaipur. He has also been the Commissioner of JDA. He has also been the Commissioner of Agriculture Department of Rajasthan. Has been Joint Secretary in Health Department, Delhi. He has been the Principal Secretary in the Forest Environment Department in the Government of Rajasthan. Has been the Chairman of Pollution Control Board of Rajasthan. Before being relieved, he was working as Secretary in the Health Ministry of the Government of India.

These were the contenders in the race

Chief Secretary Usha Sharma in Rajasthan has retired. His tenure was only till 31 December. Usha Sharma was also a resident of UP. After Usha Sharma, once again a Brahmin has been made the Chief Secretary. It is believed that Pant has been appointed to solve caste equations. Apart from Pant, IAS Subodh Aggarwal, Rajeshwar Singh, Sanjay Malhotra and Shubhra Singh were the main contenders for the post of Chief Secretary. But Shubhra Singh has lagged behind. Pant has received awards from Rajasthan Government in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004. It is believed that Pant has better experience of the financial systems of Rajasthan and the government wants to take advantage of it. Of these, 6 senior officers have been left behind.
