चुनाव से पहले ही इन दो सीटों पर ज़बरदस्त ‘बवाल’, भारी पड़ रहा ‘डैमेज कंट्रोल’

चर्चा है कि राजवी या उनके पुत्र को चित्तौड़गढ़ या बीकानेर से टिकट मिल सकता है। बीकानेर राजवी की जन्मस्थली है, तो वहीं चित्तौड़गढ़ को राजपूत वोट बैंक सहित कुछ अन्य कारणों के लिहाज़ से सुरक्षित माना जा रहा है।

मुझे भैरोंसिंह लेकर आये: राजपाल
झोटवाड़ा से टिकट कटने के बाद से पूर्व मंत्री राजपाल शेखावत अपनी ही पार्टी के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोलने का मन बना चुके हैं। वे दावा करते हुए कह रहे हैं कि झोटवाड़ा जब नई विधानसभा बनी, तो चार से ज्यादा विधानसभा का हिस्सा टूट कर बनी। फंसी हुई सीट थी। उससे भी लगातार दो बार जीत दर्ज की है। मैं अपनी मर्जी से राजनीति में नहीं आया था। दिवंगत भैरोंसिंह शेखावत 1990 में मुझे राजनीति में लाए और बनीपार्क विस सीट से टिकट दिया। मैंने जब इस सीट से चुनाव लड़ा था, उससे पहले कभी भाजपा जीती नहीं थी। उस सीट से जीत दर्ज की। झोटवाड़ा भी बनीपार्क जैसी कठिन सीट है। वहां से भी मैंने ही चुनाव लड़ा और दो बार जीत दर्ज की। इसलिए मेरी कोई राजनीतिक महत्वाकांक्षा नहीं है। यह बात करना ही गलत है।

Even before the elections, there is huge ruckus on these two seats, 'damage control' is becoming heavy.

Jaipur. Out of the 41 seats on which BJP has fielded MPs from 7 seats for the Rajasthan Assembly elections 2023, there is tremendous uproar in almost all of them. Of these, there are two seats where the party has put all its strength into 'damage control'. Both these seats are of Jaipur, one of which is Vidyadhar Nagar and the other is Jhotwara. While MP Diya Kumari has been fielded from Vidyadhar Nagar, the stake has been placed on Jaipur Rural MP Rajyavardhan Singh from Jhotwara.

Meanwhile, the 'veteran' leaders of these areas are angry over the tickets being handed over to the MPs and their tickets being cut. While former minister Narpat Singh Rajvi is upset from Vidyadhar Nagar, former minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat has opened a front from Jhotwara. Both these leaders have considerable dominance in their respective areas. In such a situation, ignoring them can create problems for the party.

Arun Singh's 'offer' to Rajvi

On the orders of the high command, BJP state in-charge Arun Singh had to reach Jaipur to convince Narpat Singh Rajvi who was angry over being denied ticket from Vidyadhar Nagar. He spoke to Rajvi for about 45 minutes at his residence on Wednesday. Singh understood the reason for their displeasure and assured them of talking to the central leadership regarding giving them tickets.

There is talk that Rajvi or his son may get ticket from Chittorgarh or Bikaner. Bikaner is the birthplace of Rajvi, while Chittorgarh is considered safe due to Rajput vote bank and some other reasons.

Bhairon Singh brought me: Rajpal
After being denied ticket from Jhotwara, former minister Rajpal Shekhawat has decided to open a front against his own party. They are claiming that when Jhotwara was formed as the new assembly, parts of more than four assemblies were formed. There was a stuck seat. He has also won twice in a row. I did not enter politics of my own free will. Late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat brought me into politics in 1990 and gave me ticket from Banipark Vis seat. When I contested elections from this seat, BJP had never won before. Won from that seat. Jhotwara is also a difficult seat like Banipark. I contested elections from there also and won twice. Therefore I have no political ambitions. It is wrong to talk about this.
