बीकानेर। ऐसे अनेक उदाहरण है जिनमें बदमाशों ने आर्मी या पुलिस की वर्दी पहनकर आमजन को परेशान किया, ठगा और धौंस जमाई। इसे देखते हुए बीकानेर रेंज के चारों जिलों में पुलिस ने ऐसे बहरूपियों को बेनकाब करने का बीड़ा उठाया है। आर्मी या पुलिस की वर्दी में संदिग्ध नजर आने वालों के बारे में सूचना जुटाकर उन्हें सलाखों के पीछे डाला जाएगा। इसके अलावा आर्मी के कपड़े बेचने और उनकी सिलाई करने वालों को पाबंद किया जाएगा।

पुलिस के बीट कांस्टेबल, बीट प्रभारी, एसएचओ स्तर पर कपड़ा बेचने और सिलाई का काम करने वाले लोगों को सूचीबद्ध कर उन्हें आगाह किया जाएगा कि वे परिचय-पत्र देखकर ही आर्मी का कपड़ा बेचेंगे और उसकी सिलाई करेंगे। उसका मोबाइल नंबर और जानकारी अपने पास रखेंगे। आम आदमी को ना तो वर्दी का कपड़ा बेचा जाए और ना ही उसकी सिलाई की जाए।

1. श्रीगंगानगर के सूरतगढ़ से एक शख्स ने आर्मी की वर्दी खरीदी और जैसलमेर पहुंच गया। वहां मिलिट्री इंटेलिजेंस ने उसे वर्दी में संदिग्ध रूप से देखा तो पकड़कर नाचना थाना पुलिस को सौंप दिया। हालांकि, जेआईसी के बाद उसे पाबंद कर छोड़ दिया गया।
2. उदयपुर के प्रतापनगर थाना क्षेत्र में देवराजसिंह उर्फ देवेन्द्र सांखला पुलिस की वर्दी पहनकर लोगों से रुपए ऐंठ रहा था। पुलिस ने बुधवार को पुलिस ने उसे दबोच लिया। इसके बावजूद उसने खुद को एसआई बताकर धौंस जमाई। आईडी मांगने पर राज खुल गया और पुलिस ने उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

कानून में तीन माह की सजा का प्रावधान : कपटपूर्ण आशय से आर्मी, एयरफोर्स, बीएसएफ, नेवी, पुलिस व अन्य लोकसेवकों की वर्दी पहनने या उनकी निशानी, बैज लगाने पर आईपीसी धारा 140 व 171 में सजा का प्रावधान है। दोषी पाए जाने पर अपराधी को तीन माह का कारावास या अधिकतम 500 रुपए जुर्माना या दोनों की सजा दी जा सकती है। यह गैर जमानतीय और संज्ञेय अपराध है।

क्यों जरूरी है सतर्कता
बीकानेर रेंज के बीकानेर, श्रीगंगानगर और अनूपगढ़ जिलों की सीमा पाकिस्तान से लगती है। पाक एजेंसी आईएसआई और उसकी अन्य खुफिया एजेंसियां यहां सक्रिय रही हैं और जासूसी के लिए एजेंट भेजती रही है। ऐसे में वर्दी की आड़ में यहां की सामरिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियां पाक भेजी जा सकती हैं। इसके अलावा हनुमानगढ़ जिले की सीमा हरियाणा-पंजाब लगती है। दोनों राज्यों से तस्करी और आपराधिक वारदातों को अंजाम दिया जा सकता है।

If found guilty, the offender can be punished with imprisonment of up to three months or a fine not exceeding Rs 500 or both. This is a non-bailable and cognizable offence.

Why is vigilance important?
