जयपुर. राजस्थान की श्रीकरणपुर विधानसभा सीट पर आज चुनाव हो रहा है। इस सीट पर तब इसलिए चुनाव नहीं हो पाया था। क्योंकि कांग्रेस के उम्मीद्वार गुरमीत सिंह कूनर का निधन 15 नवंबर को गया था। इस कारण यहां चुनाव स्थगित कर दिया था। ऐसे में राजस्थान में 200 में से 199 सीटों पर चुनाव हुए थे। अब एक सीट पर आज चुनाव हो रहा है। जिसका रिजल्ट 8 जनवरी को आएगा।
शाम 6 बजे तक होगा मतदान
श्री करणपुर विधानसभा सीट पर मतदान शुरू हो गया। जो शाम 6 बजे तक चलेगा। भीषण ठंड और कोहरे के कारण सुबह के समय मतदाता की संख्या कम नजर आ रही है। उम्मीद है कि दोपहर तक मतदाताओं की लाइन लगने लगेगी। यहां भाजपा से सुरेंद्र पाल सिंह टीटी और कांग्रेस से रूपिंदर कूनर आमने सामने हैं।
कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी का निधन
इस सीट पर पहले ही चुनाव हो जाता। लेकिन कांगेस के टिकट पर चुनाव मैदान में खड़े गुरमीत सिंह कूनर का 15 नवंबर को एम्स दिल्ली में निधन हो गया था। इस कारण चुनाव आयोग ने इस सीट पर मतदान को स्थगित कर दिया था। क्योंकि अचानक दूसरे उम्मीद्वार को खड़ा करने सहित अन्य प्रक्रिया करना संभव नहीं था। इस कारण इस सीट पर आज मतदान हो रहा है। यहां से कांग्रेस ने गुरमीत सिंह के बेटे रूपिंदर कूनर को टिकट दिया है।
चुनाव जीतने से पहले राज्यमंत्री बने सुरेंद्र पाल
राजस्थान की भजनलाल सरकार में सुरेंद्र पाल सिंह टीटी राज्यमंत्री बन गए हैं। उन्हें राज्यपाल द्वारा स्वतंत्र प्रभार के रूप में शपथ दिलाई गई थी। चूंकि इस सीट पर चुनाव ही नहीं हुआ था। ऐसे में विधायक बनने से पहले सुरेंद्र पाल सिंह टीटी के मंत्री बनने से हर कोई हैरान था। अब वे इस सीट से चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। हालांकि कांग्रेस कमेटी ने मांग की थी कि उन्हें राजस्थान सरकार में राज्यमंत्री बनाया गया है। ऐसे में आदर्श आचार संहिता खंड 32 का उल्लंघन होने के कारण उन्हें चुनाव लड़ने के आयोग्य घोषित किया जाना चाहिए।

Voting has started in Shri Karanpur assembly seat. Which will continue till 6 pm. Due to severe cold and fog, the number of voters seems to be less in the morning. Congress candidate passes away
Elections would have been held on this seat earlier. But Gurmeet Singh Kooner, who was contesting on Congress ticket, died on November 15 at AIIMS Delhi. For this reason the Election Commission had postponed voting on this seat. Because suddenly it was not possible to carry out any other process including fielding another candidate. For this reason, voting is being held on this seat today. From here, Congress has given ticket to Gurmeet Singh's son Rupinder Kunar.
Surendra Pal became Minister of State before winning the elections
Surendra Pal Singh TT has become Minister of State in the Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan. He was sworn in by the Governor as an independent charge. Since there was no election on this seat. In such a situation, everyone was surprised by Surendra Pal Singh TT becoming a minister before becoming an MLA. Now he is contesting elections from this seat. However, the Congress Committee had demanded that he be made Minister of State in the Rajasthan government. In such a situation, due to violation of Model Code of Conduct Section 32, he should be declared ineligible to contest elections.
