ऑनलाइन सुनवाई के दौरान अजब वाकया हुआ। हैकर्स ने जूम प्लेटफॉर्म में घुसपैठ कर सुनवाई के बीच पॉर्न वीडियो चला दिया। ऐसे में फौरन सुनवाई रोकनी पड़ी। इस घटनाक्रम के बाद कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट ने लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग और वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग को निलंबित कर दिया। चीफ जस्टिस प्रसन्ना बी वराले ने मौखिक रूप से कहा कि एक दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण स्थिति पैदा हो गई है। लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग और वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग सुविधाओं की अनुमति नहीं दी जाएगी। आगे कहा कि कुछ शरारत की गई है और इसमें कोई शरारती तत्व भी शामिल हो सकता है।
चीफ जस्टिस ने कहा कि हमें एक अभूतपूर्व स्थिति के कारण यह निर्णय लेना पड़ा है। कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट हमेशा जनता के लिए बेहतर टेक्नॉलजी के यूज के पक्ष में था। हालांकि दुर्भाग्य से टेक्नॉलजी का दुरुपयोग किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने वकीलों से यह भी अनुरोध किया कि अनुमति क्यों नहीं दी गई। यह जानने के लिए रजिस्ट्रार और कंप्यूटर टीम के पास न जाएं। चीफ जस्टिस ने इसे दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण और अभूतपूर्व घटना बताया।

शरारती तत्वों ने कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट की लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग को हैक कर अश्लील वीडियो चला दिए। अधिकारियों ने साइबर क्राइम सेल में शिकायत दर्ज की है। इसके बाद इसके केंद्रीय डिवीजन ने जांच शुरू कर दी है।

यह घटना वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस कॉल को टारगेट करने वाले साइबर हमलों के ट्रेंड को दिखाती है। इसे जूम-बॉम्बिंग के रूप में जाना जाता है। इसे कोरोना महामारी के दौरान प्रमुखता से देखा गया। जैसे ही लॉकडाउन के दौरान जूम जैसे प्लेटफॉर्म का यूज बढ़ा। हैकर्स ने धमकियां देकर या अश्लील सामग्री पेश करके बैठकों को खलल डालने का काम किया।
