सूरतगढ़। चोरों ने एक बुक डिपो और मेडिकल स्टोर के ताले तोड़ते हुए चोरी की वारदात को अंजाम दे डाला। घटना बुधवार मध्यरात्रि करीब 2:15 बजे के आसपास की बताई जा रही है। वहीं बाइक सवार कुछ संदिग्धों के फुटेज भी घटनास्थल के आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरे में नजर आए। गुरूवार को वारदात की सूचना मिलने के बाद सिटी थाना पुलिस ने मौका मुआयना किया।
जानकारी के मुताबिक सेठ रामदयाल राठी राजकीय उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालय के सामने अहाते में स्थित अरोड़ा बुक डिपो में चोरों ने दुकान के ताले तोड़ते हुए गल्ले में रखे करीब 2 लाख रूपये चुरा लिए। इसके अलावा C- 95 अंडरब्रिज के पास एक मेडिकल स्टोर के भी ताले तोड़ते हुए दुकान के गल्ले को खंगाला। हालांकि यहां से चोरों को ढाई-तीन सौ रूपये की नगदी के अलावा ज्यादा कुछ हाथ नहीं लगा।
अरोड़ा बुक डिपो के संचालक गौरव ने बताया कि इन दिनों यूनिवर्सिटी समेत अन्य शिक्षा संस्थानों के आवेदन/परीक्षा फ़ार्म कॉलेज और कोचिंग स्टूडेंट्स भरवा रहे हैं। बीती रात्रि भी वे फॉर्म आदि का कार्य निपटाकर उसकी राशि गल्ले में छोड़कर घर चले गए थे। गुरूवार सुबह आकर देखा तो दुकान के ताले टूटे हुए थे और गल्ला अस्त व्यस्त पड़ा था।
यही नही उसमे पड़े 2 लाख रूपये गायब मिले। गल्ले के पास ही चोर अपनी लोहे की रॉड़ भी छोड़ गए थे।दुकान मालिक गौरव ने घटना का सीसीटीवी फुटेज दिखाते हुए बताया कि बाइक सवार करीब तीन से चार संदिग्ध युवक पुराने बस स्टैंड की ओर से इस तरफ आते हुए राठी पेट्रोल पंप के सामने लगे एक सीसीटीवी कैमरे में कैद हुए हैं।
इनमें से एक जना बाइक को पेट्रोल पंप के समीप रोक लेता है और बाकी युवक पैदल ही आगे की ओर बढ़ जाते हैं। संभवतया वारदात में यही युवक शामिल थे। वहीं घटना की सूचना मिलने के बाद सिटी पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और घटनास्थल का मुआयना करने के साथ मामला दर्ज करने की कार्रवाई शुरू की।

According to the information, thieves broke the locks of the shop and stole about Rs 2 lakh kept in the wallet in Arora Book Depot located in the courtyard in front of Seth Ramdayal Rathi Government Higher Secondary School. Apart from this, they also broke the locks of a medical store near C-95 underbridge and searched the shop's walls. However, the thieves did not get much from here except Rs 250-300 in cash.
Gaurav, the director of Arora Book Depot, said that these days the application/examination forms of universities and other educational institutions are being filled by college and coaching students. Last night too, after completing the forms etc., he left the money in his bag and went home. When I came on Thursday morning, I saw that the locks of the shop were broken and the shop was lying in disarray.
Not only this, Rs 2 lakh lying in it was found missing. The thieves had also left their iron rods near the Galle. Shop owner Gaurav, while showing CCTV footage of the incident, said that about three to four suspicious youths riding bikes were coming in this direction from the old bus stand and stopped in front of Rathi petrol pump. One of them stops the bike near the petrol pump and the rest of the youth move forward on foot. Probably these youths were involved in the incident. After receiving information about the incident, the city police reached the spot, inspected the spot and started the process of registering a case.
