राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत ने मंगलवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी और गृह मंत्री अमित शाह सहित भाजपा नेताओं को चुनाव में धर्म के बारे में बात करने के बजाय राज्य सरकार के काम पर बोलने की चुनौती दी. उन्होंने भाजपा नेताओं पर धर्म के नाम पर राजनीति करने का आरोप लगाया और कहा कि कांग्रेस विकास एवं जनकल्याण के मुद्दे पर चुनावी मैदान में हैं.

'लोगों को भड़काने का काम करेंगे'

उन्होंने यहां कहा, 'भाजपा नेता आते हैं और धर्म के नाम पर अपने भाषणों में उत्तेजक बातें कहते हैं. वे धर्म के नाम पर अपना एजेंडा थोपते हैं जो अच्छी परंपरा नहीं है. मैं उन्हें चुनौती देता हूं कि वे धर्म के नाम पर राजनीति करने के बजाय हमारी योजनाओं और कार्यक्रमों, सरकार के कामकाज पर बोलें. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी, अमित शाह और अन्य नेता चुनाव प्रचार के लिए आएंगे. भाजपा नेता केवल लोगों को भड़काने का काम करेंगे.'

'हमने 5 साल में अच्छा शासन दिया'

सीएम गहलोत ने आगे कहा, 'हमने महत्वपूर्ण कानून बनाए, महंगाई राहत शिविरों में दस गारंटी दी, हमारा कोरोना प्रबंधन उत्कृष्ट था, राजस्थान आर्थिक विकास में उत्तर भारत में पहले और देश में दूसरे स्थान पर है. हमने पांच साल में अच्छा शासन दिया. विकास हमारा एजेंडा है और हम इसी पर चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं.'

'उत्तेजक बातें करना अच्छा नहीं'

मुख्यमंत्री ने अल्बर्ट हॉल में पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री जवाहर लाल नेहरू को उनकी जयंती पर श्रद्धांजलि देने के बाद कहा, 'मैं भाजपा नेताओं को चुनौती देता हूं कि वे हमारी योजनाओं, कार्यक्रमों और राज्य सरकार द्वारा किए गए विकास कार्यों के बारे में बात करें. अगर उनके पास हमारे विकास कार्यों पर आलोचना करने के लिए कुछ है, तो उन्हें ऐसा करना चाहिए. लेकिन उत्तेजक बातें करना अच्छी बात नहीं है.

'युवा पीढ़ी को नेहरू के बारे में पढ़ना चाहिए'

गहलोत ने नेहरू की प्रतिमा पर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित करने के बाद कहा कि नेहरू एक दूरदर्शी नेता थे और युवा पीढ़ी को उनके एंव देश के विकास में उनके योगदान के बारे में पढ़ना चाहिए. बाद में गहलोत कोटा संभाग में सरकार की गारंटी यात्रा का शुभारंभ करने कोटा पहुंचे. उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस का एजेंडा विकास है. राजस्थान के कांग्रेस प्रभारी सुखजिंदर सिंह रंधावा, कोटा उत्तर सीट से चुनाव लड़ रहे शहरी विकास मंत्री शांति धारीवाल और अन्य नेता भी कोटा में गहलोत के साथ मौजूद थे.

He said here, 'BJP leaders come and say provocative things in their speeches in the name of religion. They impose their agenda in the name of religion which is not a good tradition. I challenge them to speak on our schemes and programmes, the functioning of the government, instead of doing politics in the name of religion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and other leaders will come for election campaign. BJP leaders will only work to instigate people.

'We gave good governance in 5 years'

CM Gehlot further said, 'We made important laws, gave ten guarantees in inflation relief camps, our Corona management was excellent, Rajasthan ranks first in North India and second in the country in economic development. We gave good governance in five years. Development is our agenda and we are contesting elections on this.

'It is not good to talk provocatively'

After paying tribute to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary at Albert Hall, the Chief Minister said, 'I challenge the BJP leaders to talk about our schemes, programs and development work done by the state government. If they have something to criticize on our development work, they should do so. But talking provocative things is not a good thing.

'The young generation should read about Nehru'

After paying floral tributes at Nehru's statue, Gehlot said that Nehru was a visionary leader and the young generation should read about him and his contribution to the development of the country. Later Gehlot reached Kota to inaugurate the Government's Guarantee Yatra in Kota division. He said that the agenda of Congress is development. Rajasthan Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Urban Development Minister Shanti Dhariwal contesting from Kota North seat and other leaders were also present with Gehlot in Kota.
