बीकानेर: पुलिस ने हवाला एजेंट से 17 लाख से अधिक नकदी और ज्वैलरी की धरपकड़ की
बीकानेर। विधानसभा चुनावों में संदिग्ध नगदी और ज्वैलरी की धरपकड़ में जुटी पुलिस ने मंगलवार को बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए पूगल रोड़ पर एक बाईक सवार के थैले से सत्रह लाख से ज्यादा नगदी बरामद की। जिला पुलिस की स्पेशल टीम के कांस्टेबल लखविन्दर सिंह की सजगता से हुई इस कार्रवाई में पुलिस ने शरेंरा निवासी चालीस वर्षीय ताराचंद पुत्र मिंडाराम सारस्वत को हिरासत में लेकर उसके कब्जे से यह नगदी बरामद की है। पुलिस को आशंका है कि यह हवाला की राशि है ।
पुलिस ने इस नगदी के संबंध में आयकर विभाग अधिकारियों को सूचित कर दिया। जानकारी के अनुसार जिला पुलिस की स्पेशल टीम के कांस्टेबल लखविन्दर को जरिये मुखबिर सूचना मिली थी कि एक हवाला एजेेंट लाखों रूपये की डिलवरी करने के लिये बाइक पर पूगल रोड़ से निकलने वाला है। इसके बाद जिला पुलिस की स्पेशल टीम ने बाइक पर सवार ताराचंद की लॉकेशन डिटेन कर पूगल रोड़ पर उसे रोक लिया और थैले की तलाशी ली तो उसमें पांच-पांच की गड्डिया बरामद हो गई।
सीआई एमपी कॉलोनी सुरेश कंस्वा ने बताया कि आरोपी से थैले से17,08,290 रूपये नगदी जब्त किये गये । कार्रवाई टीम में जिला पुलिस की स्पेशल टीम के एएसआई रामकरण सिंह, हैड कांस्टेबल कानदान, दीपक यादव ,एमपी कॉलोनी थाना पुलिस के हैड़ रोहिताश भारी, कांस्टेबल देवेन्द्र कुमार, कांस्टेबल रामदयाल और नवदीप शामिल थे।

The police, engaged in seizing suspicious cash and jewelery in the Assembly elections, took a major action on Tuesday and recovered more than seventeen lakh rupees in cash from the bag of a bike rider on Poogal Road. In this action taken by the alertness of Constable Lakhwinder Singh of the special team of the District Police, the police took into custody forty-year-old Tarachand son of Mindaram Saraswat, resident of Sharena, and recovered this cash from his possession. Police suspect that this is hawala money.
The police informed the Income Tax Department officials regarding this cash. According to the information, constable Lakhwinder of the special team of the district police had received information through an informer that a hawala agent was going to leave from Poogal Road on a bike to deliver lakhs of rupees. After this, the special team of the District Police detained the location of Tarachand riding on the bike and stopped him on Poogal Road and searched his bag and found a bundle of five each.
CI MP Colony Suresh Kanswa said that Rs 17,08,290 in cash was seized from the bag of the accused. The action team included ASI Ramkaran Singh, head constable Kandan, Deepak Yadav of the special team of the district police, head Rohitash Bhari of MP Colony police station, constable Devendra Kumar, constable Ramdayal and Navdeep.
