ग्रेटर नगर निगम की छठी साधारित सभा में वित्तीय वर्ष 2024-25 का बजट पेश किया जाएगा, जिसमें सफाई व्यवस्था पर जोर दिया जा रहा है। नगर निगम करीब 375 करोड़ रुपए सफाई व्यवस्था पर खर्च करेगा, जो विशेष बैठक द्वारा पहले ही स्वीकृति मिल चुकी है। बजट में कई मदों में कटौती है, लेकिन सफाई, गैराज जैसे मदों में बजट बढ़ाया गया है। इस बजट को पहले ही वित्त समिति की मंजूरी मिल गई है और इसे बोर्ड बैठक में पेश किया जाएगा।

बजट के अनुसार, इस बार ग्रेटर नगर निगम का बजट 199 करोड़ रुपए अधिक है जो पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष के मुकाबले है। शहर के विकास पर 504 करोड़ रुपए खर्च करने का प्रावधान किया गया है, जिसमें 40 करोड़ रुपए में 150 वार्डों में नई सड़कें बनवाने का प्रावधान है। अन्य निर्माण कार्यों के लिए भी 40 करोड़ रुपए का बजट है। मल्टीलेवल पार्किंग के लिए 12 करोड़ रुपए का प्रावधान है और ई-लाइब्रेरी के निर्माण के लिए 7 करोड़ रुपए हैं। रोड लाइटें लगाने और मरम्मत के लिए 52.51 करोड़ रुपए का प्रावधान है।

बजट में सफाई कर्मियों के बच्चों के लिए छात्रवृत्ति का भी प्रावधान है, जिसके लिए 20 लाख रुपए का बजट रखा गया है। इसके अलावा, निगम कर्मचारियों की दरुटना ्घ में सहायता मद भी रखी गई है। यह बजट मेयर सौम्या गुर्जर के कार्यकाल का चौथा बजट है, जो शुरू होने वाले विधानसभा सत्र से पहले बुलाया गया है। ग्रेटर नगर निगम के पिछले 2 साल के बजट को साधारित सभा की बैठक में नहीं पेश किया गया था, बल्कि इसे आयुक्त के जरिए सीधे सरकार को भेजा गया था।

According to the budget, this time the budget of Greater Municipal Corporation is Rs 199 crore more as compared to the last financial year. A provision has been made to spend Rs 504 crore on the development of the city, out of which there is a provision to build new roads in 150 wards for Rs 40 crore. There is also a budget of Rs 40 crore for other construction works. There is a provision of Rs 12 crore for multilevel parking and Rs 7 crore for the construction of an e-library. There is a provision of Rs 52.51 crore for installation and repair of road lights.

There is also a provision of scholarship for the children of sanitation workers in the budget, for which a budget of Rs 20 lakh has been kept. Apart from this, an item has also been kept for emergency assistance to the corporation employees. This budget is the fourth budget of the tenure of Mayor Soumya Gurjar, which has been called before the starting assembly session. The budget of the last 2 years of the Greater Municipal Corporation was not presented in the general body meeting, rather it was sent directly to the government through the Commissioner.
