मेडल और सरकारी नौकरी दिलाने के बहाने महिला शूटर्स का यौन शोषण, RRA-NRAI में भी सुनवाई नहीं, अब पुलिस कर रही जांच

पीड़ित खिलाड़ियों ने राजस्थान राइफल एसोसिएशन, नेशनल राइफल शूटिंग एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया और राजस्थान राज्य क्रीड़ा परिषद तक का दरवाजा खटखटाया, लेकिन उनकी सुनवाई नहीं हुई. अब यह मामला पुलिस तक पहुंच गया है. इसे लेकर जयपुर के मालवीय नगर थाने में पॉक्सो और आईपीसी की धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज कर अनुसंधान किया जा रहा है.

कई महिला खिलाड़ियों ने छोड़ी शूटिंग : पुलिस की प्रारंभिक पड़ताल में सामने आया है कि कोच शशिकांत के खिलाफ कई स्तर पर शिकायत के बाद भी पीड़ित खिलाड़ियों की सुनवाई नहीं हुई तो डिप्रेशन में आकर उन्होंने खेल छोड़ दिया. वह लंबे समय से कोच के पद पर है और अपने ऊंचे रसूख का डर दिखाकर शूटर्स को डराता था. जब कोई खिलाड़ी उसकी शिकायत करती तो वह उसे भी बदनाम करने की धमकी देकर चुप कराने का प्रयास करता.

पीड़िताओं के कोर्ट में करवाएंगे बयान : मालवीय नगर थाने में जो प्राथमिकी दर्ज हुई है, उसमें 5 महिला शूटर्स के यौन शोषण की जानकारी दी गई है, लेकिन यह मामला दर्ज होने के बाद अब इसी तरह के कुछ और मामले भी सामने आए हैं. अब कुछ और महिला खिलाड़ियों ने भी पुलिस के पास पहुंच कर अपने साथ हुई घटना के बारे में जानकारी दी है. थानाधिकारी पूनम चौधरी ने बताया कि तीन खिलाड़ियों के पुलिस ने बयान दर्ज किए हैं. अब बाकी शूटर्स के भी बयान लिए जाएंगे. सभी पीड़िताओं के कोर्ट में धारा 164 के तहत बयान करवाए जाएंगे. इसके बाद आगे कार्रवाई की जाएगी.

Rajasthan Rifle Association coach Shashikant Sharma has been accused by female shooters of sexually exploiting them. They were sexually exploited with the promise of taking them to the Olympics, getting a medal at the national level and even getting a government job. This trend has been going on for the last several years.

The aggrieved players approached Rajasthan Rifle Association, National Rifle Shooting Association of India and Rajasthan State Sports Council, but they were not heard. Now this matter has reached the police. Regarding this, a case has been registered under sections of POCSO and IPC in Malviya Nagar police station of Jaipur and investigation is being done.

According to Malviya Nagar police station officer Poonam Chaudhary, a case has been registered in Rajasthan Rifle Association against coach Shashikant Sharma for sexual exploitation of female shooters. In the FIR, sexual exploitation of 5 minor and adult players has come to light. In the statement given to the police, the victims have alleged that coach Shashikant Sharma exploited them many times in the name of getting them a chance to compete in the Olympics, getting a national medal and getting a government job through sports quota. This trend has been going on for two-three years. He complained about this to Rajasthan Rifle Association and National Rifle Association of India, but he was not heard. Now the matter has reached the police, which is being investigated.

Exploited by taking them to the flat after practice: The victims told in their statement to the police that coach Shashikant used to target female shooters. Whoever was his target, he would make them practice for more time and then take them to the flat in Jagatpura and force them to drink alcohol. If she refused, he would force her to have a relationship by threatening to spoil her career. Similarly, he would also exploit her on the pretext of taking her along in the car. He also made the players his victims by pressurizing them to share the room during the tournament.

Many female players left shooting: Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that even after complaining against coach Shashikant at several levels, the aggrieved players were not heard, hence they left the game due to depression. He has been on the post of coach for a long time and used to scare the shooters by showing fear of his high influence. Whenever any player complained about him, he would try to silence her by threatening to defame her too.

The victims will be given statements in the court: In the FIR lodged in the Malviya Nagar police station, information has been given about the sexual exploitation of 5 female shooters, but after the registration of this case, some more similar cases have also come to light. Now some other women players have also approached the police and informed about the incident that happened to them. Police Station Officer Poonam Chaudhary said that the police have recorded the statements of three players. Now statements of the remaining shooters will also be taken. Statements of all the victims will be made in the court under Section 164. After this further action will be taken.
