बीकानेर | पुलिस और आबकारी विभाग की सख्ती के कारण इन दिनों रात को आठ बजे के बाद ठेकों पर शराब की बिक्री बंद हो गई हो गई। दुकानों पर िखड़की-झरोखे भी अब बंद हैं। विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए बीकानेर में लगाए गए ऑब्जर्वर ने पिछले दिनों रात को आठ बजे के बाद दुकानों पर शराब बिक्री पर आपत्ति जताई और कार्रवाई की थी।
उसके बाद से पुलिस और आबकारी विभाग हरकत में आ गए और रात को 8 बजे के बाद शराब बेचने वालों पर सख्ती की। दुकानों के लाइसेंस निलंबित और केस दर्ज होने लगे तो दुकानदारों ने अपने आप ही बिक्री बंद कर दी है।
आबकारी के डिप्टी कमिश्नर अरविन्दसिंह ने शहर की 20 दुकानों पर आकस्मिक चैकिंग की तो सभी दुकानें बंद मिली। जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी भगवतीप्रसाद कलाल और एसपी तेजस्विनी गौतम ने भी निर्देश दिए हैं कि रात को 8 बजे के बाद किसी भी सूरत में शराब की बिक्री नहीं होनी चाहिए। कुछ दिन पहले तक शहर में दुकानों पर देर रात तक शराब की बिक्री हो रही थी।

District Election Officer Bhagwati Prasad Kalal and SP Tejaswini Gautam have also given instructions that under no circumstances should liquor be sold after 8 pm. Till a few days ago, liquor was being sold at shops in the city till late night.
