विधानसभा चुनाव के प्रचार कैंपेन में सोमवार को मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत ने दौसा में पहली बार गुर्जर आरक्षण आंदोलन का जिक्र किया। उन्होंने गुर्जर समाज को साधने की कोशिश की। सीएम गहलोत सोमवार शाम को दौसा जिले के सिकराय विधानसभा क्षेत्र के बहरावंडा में कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी ममता भूपेश के समर्थन में सभा को संबोधित कर रहे थे।

उन्होंने कहा- गुर्जर नेता कर्नल किरोड़ी सिंह बैंसला मेरे बहुत अच्छे मित्र थे। हम दोनों आपस में एक - दूसरे का बहुत सम्मान करते थे। गुर्जर समाज को उस वक्त भी लोग भड़काते थे और आज भी भड़का रहे हैं। मुझे याद है भाजपा की सरकार के दौरान प्रदेश में 72 गुर्जर मारे गए थे और राज बदला तो मैं मुख्यमंत्री बना।

कर्नल बैंसला से मेरी बातचीत हुई, गुर्जर समाज के लोग पटरी पर बैठे, आंदोलन किया। लेकिन गोली चलाना तो बहुत दूर की बात मैंने लाठीचार्ज भी नहीं होने दिया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा उस दौरान भाजपा के राज में 22 बार फायरिंग हुई थी। गुर्जरों पर भी पुलिस ने फायरिंग की, 12 दिन तक लाशें पड़ी रही। लेकिन मैंने पहले एक प्रतिशत और बाद में 4 प्रतिशत आरक्षण देकर गुर्जर समाज की मांग पूरी की। इसलिए मैं सभी से अपील करना चाहता हूं कि यह चुनाव कोई व्यक्तिगत नहीं बल्कि देशहित का चुनाव है।

यह कांग्रेस के भविष्य का चुनाव

उन्होंने कहा सरकार बदलने पर भाजपा वाले हमारे सभी स्कीम बंद कर देते हैं, लेकिन हम उनकी स्कीम को बंद नहीं करते बल्कि आगे बढ़ाते हैं। पूर्वी राजस्थान नहर परियोजना को भी हमने आगे बढ़ाया है। यह चुनाव कांग्रेस के भविष्य का, राजस्थान व इस क्षेत्र के हित का चुनाव है। ऐसे में सभी से अपील करना चाहता हूं कि दौसा जिले के सभी कांग्रेस प्रत्याशियों को जिताकर भेजें।

CM Gehlot was addressing a meeting in support of Congress candidate Mamta Bhupesh in Baharawanda of Sikrai assembly constituency of Dausa district on Monday evening.

He said- Gurjar leader Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla was a very good friend of mine. We both respected each other a lot. People used to provoke Gurjar community even at that time and are provoking them even today. I remember that during the BJP government, 72 Gurjars were killed in the state and when the rule changed, I became the Chief Minister.

I had a conversation with Colonel Bainsla, people of Gurjar community sat on the tracks and agitated. But firing is a far cry and I did not even allow lathicharge.

The Chief Minister said that during that time there was firing 22 times during the BJP rule. Police also fired on Gurjars, dead bodies remained lying there for 12 days. But I fulfilled the demand of Gurjar community by giving first one percent and later 4 percent reservation. Therefore, I want to appeal to everyone that this election is not a personal election but an election in the national interest.

This is the future election of Congress

He said that when the government changes, BJP people stop all our schemes, but we do not stop their schemes but take them forward. We have also taken forward the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project. This election is an election for the future of Congress and the interest of Rajasthan and this region. In such a situation, I want to appeal to everyone to send all the Congress candidates from Dausa district to victory.
