बीकानेर। इनकम टैक्स की इन्वेस्टिगेशन विंग ने बुधवार को हवाला कारोबार से जुड़े व्यक्ति के दो मोबाइल सीज किए हैं। अधिकारियों को उसके मोबाइल में चौकाने वाली चैटिंग और करोड़ों रुपए के लेनदेन का हिसाब मिला है। इनकम टैक्स के तकनीकी अधिकारी अब मोबाइल की कुंडली खंगालेंगे। मुक्ता प्रसाद पुलिस ने मंगलवार को बाइक सवार एक व्यक्ति के थैले से 17 लाख रुपए जब्त किए थे।
पूछताछ में संतोषजनक जवाब नहीं देने पर पुलिस ने इसकी सूचना इन्वेस्टिगेशन विंग को दी थी। इसके बाद विंग के एडिशनल कमिश्नर अरविंद मीणा के नेतृत्व में स्पेशल टीम के अधिकारियों ने संबंधित व्यक्ति से पूछताछ शुरू की, जो रात करीब एक बजे तक चली। बुधवार को विभाग के अधिकारियों ने वारंट लेकर उसके दोनों मोबाइल सीज कर दोबारा हवाला कारोबारी के बयान लिए। इन्वेस्टिगेशन विंग के एडिशनल कमिश्नर अरविंद मीणा ने बताया कि शेरेरा निवासी ताराचंद सारस्वत के कब्जे से मिले 17 लाख रुपए के बारे में वह कोई संतोष जनक जवाब नहीं दे पाया।
देर रात तक वह अधिकारियों को गुमराह करता रहा। बुधवार सुबह फिर उसके बयान लिए गए। उसके मोबाइल को खंगालने पर सामने आया कि उसमें कोड भाषा में करीब सौ से अधिक लोगों से चेटिंग की गई है। इतना ही नहीं करोड़ों रुपए के हिसाब का उल्लेख भी उसके मोबाइल में मिला है, जिसके बारे में अभी उससे और पूछताछ की जाएगी। इनकम टैक्स के सूत्रों की मानें तो सेरेरां निवासी ताराचंद सारस्वत के मोबाइल में करीब सौ से अधिक लोगों से चैटिंग की गई है।
उसने लोगों को रुपए पर लिखे अंकों के फोटो और स्क्रीन शॉट भी सेंड कर रखे हैं। जिन लोगों से आरोपी ने मोबाइल चैटिंग की है, उनके मोबाइल नंबर की लिस्ट तैयार कर विभाग के अधिकारियों ने अब आगे की कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है। प्रथम दृष्टया ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा है कि ताराचंद सारस्वत का हवाला कारोबारियों से गहरा संबंध है।
उसके अधिकतर संपर्क वाले लोग बीकानेर और आसपास के गांवों सहित मेट्रो सिटी में रहने वाले हैं। अब देखना यह है कि आयकर विभाग को हवाला कारोबार से जुड़े कितने लोगों के बारे में जानकारी मिल पाती है। हालांकि इस संबंध में इनकम टैक्स के अधिकारियों से पूछे जाने पर उन्होंने कुछ भी बताने से इनकार किया है।

Bikaner. The Investigation Wing of Income Tax on Wednesday seized two mobile phones of a person associated with hawala business. Officials have found shocking chatting and transactions worth crores of rupees in his mobile. Income Tax technical officers will now scrutinize the horoscope of the mobile. Mukta Prasad police had seized Rs 17 lakh from the bag of a person riding a bike on Tuesday.
When no satisfactory answer was given during interrogation, the police informed the Investigation Wing. After this, the officers of the special team under the leadership of Wing's Additional Commissioner Arvind Meena started interrogating the person concerned, which continued till around 1 am in the night. On Wednesday, department officials seized both his mobile phones with a warrant and again took the statement of the hawala trader. Additional Commissioner of Investigation Wing, Arvind Meena said that he could not give any satisfactory answer regarding the Rs 17 lakh found from the possession of Sherera resident Tarachand Saraswat.
He kept misleading the officers till late night. His statements were taken again on Wednesday morning. When his mobile was searched, it was revealed that he had been chatting with more than a hundred people in code language. Not only this, mention of accounts worth crores of rupees has also been found in his mobile, about which he will be questioned further. If Income Tax sources are to be believed, Sereran resident Tarachand Saraswat has been chatting with more than a hundred people on his mobile.
He has also sent photos and screen shots of the numbers written on rupees to people. After preparing a list of mobile numbers of the people with whom the accused had done mobile chatting, the department officials have now started further action. Prima facie it seems that Tarachand Saraswat has deep connections with hawala traders.
Most of the people with his contacts are residents of the metro city including Bikaner and surrounding villages. Now it remains to be seen whether the Income Tax Department is able to get information about how many people are involved in the hawala business. However, when Income Tax officials were asked in this regard, they refused to tell anything.
