 जोधपुर ग्रामीण की शेरगढ़ थाना पुलिस ने रात्रि गश्त के दौरान संदिग्ध घूम रहे दो युवकों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पूछताछ में दोनों ने नकबजनी की एक दर्जन से अधिक वारदात करना स्वीकार किया है। पुलिस अब गिरोह के अन्य सदस्यों को पकड़ने में जुटी है।

ग्रामीण पुलिस अधीक्षक धर्मेंद्र सिंह यादव ने बताया कि रामदेवरा मेले को लेकर सभी थाना अधिकारियों को रात्रि गश्त को लेकर निर्देशित किया गया है। इसी क्रम में 1 सितंबर की रात शेरगढ़ थाना पुलिस देडा क्षेत्र में गश्त कर रही थी। पुलिस को देखकर दो बाइक सवार युवक भागने लगे जिन्हें पीछा कर पकड़ा गया।

थाने लाकर पूछताछ करने पर दोनों ने बालेसर, फलोदी, राजीव गांधी नगर, जोधपुर के विभिन्न हल्का क्षेत्र में वाहन चोरी की वारदातें करना स्वीकार किया। इसके अलावा पुलिस थाना चामू, शेरगढ़ और देचू में दुकान और डाबो पर भी चोरी नकब्जाने की वारदातों को अंजाम देना स्वीकार किया है। इस पर पुलिस ने राजूराम पुत्र देवाराम भील निवासी प्रेम नगर पुलिस थाना शेरगढ़, रावल सिंह पुत्र राजू सिंह राजपूत निवासी सुंडों का बास बस्तवा पुलिस थाना बालेसर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

पूछताछ में आरोपियों ने दुकान और ढाबों से चोरी की 16 वारदातें करना स्वीकार किया है। पुलिस अब गिरोह के अन्य सदस्यों को पकड़ने के प्रयास में जुटी हुई है। पुलिस कार्रवाई में थाना अधिकारी शिवराज सिंह, हेड कॉन्स्टेबल मांगीलाल, घमूराम, कॉन्स्टेबल भजनलाल, सुरजा राम शामिल रहे।
