दिल्ली: आरबीआई के गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि चलन से वापस लिए गए 2,000 रुपये के 3.43 लाख करोड़ रुपये मूल्य के नोट वापस आ गए हैं। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि लोग आठ अक्टूबर के बाद भी आरबीआई के 19 कार्यालयों में 2,000 रुपये के नोट को जमा करा सकेंगे।द्विमासिक मौद्रिक नीति समीक्षा की घोषणा के बाद एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन में दास ने कहा कि चलन से वापस लिए गए 2,000 रुपये के 87 प्रतिशत नोट बैंकों में जमाओं के रूप में वापस आए हैं। शेष नोटों को अन्य मूल्य वर्गों के नोटों से बदला गया है।

7 अक्टूबर तक नहीं बदल पाए तो क्या होगा? उन्होंने कहा कि 19 मई, 2023 तक 2000 रुपये के 3.56 लाख करोड़ रुपये के नोट चलन में मौजूद थे। इनमें से 12000 करोड़ रुपये के नोट अब भी वापस नहीं आए हैं।इस मौके पर उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि बढ़ाई गई समय-सीमा के बाद भी ये नोट आरबीआई के 19 कार्यालयों में बदले जा सकेंगे। आरबीआई ने नवंबर, 2016 की नोटबंदी के बाद जारी किए गए 2,000 रुपये के नोट को चलन से वापस लेने की 19 मई को घोषणा की थी। रिजर्व बैंक ने 2,000 का नोट बैंक में जमा करने या दूसरे मूल्य के नोट से बदलने के लिए अंतिम तिथि 30 सितंबर तय की थी। हालांकि बाद में केंद्रीय बैंक ने अंतिम तिथि को बढ़ाकर सात अक्टूबर कर दिया था।

दास ने शुक्रवार को संवाददाताओं से कहा सात अक्टूबर के बाद आप 2,000 के नोट को सिर्फ रिजर्व बैंक के इश्यू कार्यालयों में जमा कर सकेंगे या इसके बदले दूसरे मान्य नोट ले सकेंगे। ये कार्यालय लगभग सभी राज्यों की राजधानियों में स्थित हैं।दास ने कहा कि अगर कोई आरबीआई के कार्यालय तक नहीं जा सकता है तो डाक विभाग की सेवाएं ली जा सकती हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि 2,000 रुपये के नोटों को वापस लेने का मूल उद्देश्य 'काफी हद तक पूरा' हो गया है।

The Reserve Bank had fixed September 30 as the last date for depositing the Rs 2,000 note in the bank or exchanging it for notes of other denominations. However, later the Central Bank extended the last date to October 7.

Das told reporters on Friday that after October 7, you will be able to deposit the Rs 2,000 note only in the issue offices of the Reserve Bank or exchange it for other valid notes. These offices are located in almost all the state capitals. Das said that if one cannot go to the RBI office then the services of the postal department can be taken. He said the basic objective of withdrawing Rs 2,000 notes has been 'largely accomplished'.
