महज आठवीं कक्षा पास बिजेंदर को हमेशा मलाल रहता था कि वह खुद तो पढ़ नहीं सका, लेकिन अपने बच्चों को पढ़ा-लिखाकर बड़ा आदमी जरूर बनाएगा। उसके इसी जुनून को बड़ी बेटी सुनीता हकीकत में बदलने जुटी थी, लेकिन सब मिट्टी में मिल गया। बिजेंदर का भाई यह कहकर फफक-फफककर रोने लगा।

बिजेंदर की मौत की खबर के बाद से ही घर में कोहराम मचा हुआ है। किसी को भी यकीन नहीं हो रहा कि वह अब इस दुनिया में नहीं रहा। परिजनों का कहना है कि बच्चों को पढ़ाने के चक्कर में बिजेंदर कई बार-बार 24-24 घंटे घर न आकर टैक्सी चलाता रहता था। उसकी मेहनत का ही नतीजा था कि उसकी बेटी ने 12वीं कक्षा में जिले में टॉप किया था।

बाद में वह दिल्ली आ गई और डीयू के देशबंधु कॉलेज में बीए हिस्ट्री ऑनर्स में दाखिला ले लिया। इसके बाद वह यूपीएससी की कोचिंग करने लगी। बिजेंदर बेटी को आईएएस अफसर बनाना चाहता था। पिता की मौत के बाद सुनीता का बुरा हाल है। सुनीता का कहना है कि अब उसके परिवार का क्या होगा।

घर में अकेला बिजेंदर ही कमाने वाला था। एक परिजन ने बताया कि मूलरूप से मोतिहारी, बिहार के रहने वाला बिजेंदर वर्ष 1996 में कमाने के लिए दिल्ली आया था। यहां आकर उसने ऑटो चलाना शुरू किया। बाद में 2001 में उसका विवाह सुगंधी देवी से हुआ। परिवार ने फरीदाबाद की सूर्या काॅलोनी स्थित मकान में किराये पर रहना शुरू कर दिया।

बिजेंदर के यहां पांच बच्चों ने जन्म लिया। इसमें बड़ी बेटी सुनीता (20), बेटा आलोक (18), बेटी किरन (17), बेटी नंदनी (15) और छोटा बेटा आकाश (12) है। सुनीता को छोड़कर बाकी चारों बच्चे गांव में अपने दादा लक्ष्मी शाह और दादी लालती देवी के पास रहते हैं। बच्चे वहीं रहकर पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं। सुनीता को उच्च शिक्षा के लिए बिजेंदर दिल्ली ले आया था।

खुद बिजेंदर चार भाई व एक बहन हैं। दिल्ली के दल्लूपुरा में रहने वाले बिजेंदर के भाई नागेंद्र ने बताया कि मंगलवार दोपहर 2 बजे उसका भाई टैक्सी लेकर घर से निकला था। शाम करीब 7 बजे भाभी सुगंधी देवी ने बिजेंदर को सब्जी के पैसों के लिए कॉल की था। बिजेंदर ने ऑन लाइन 90 रुपये ट्रांसफर कर दिए।

इसके बाद वह वापस नहीं लौटा। देर रात करीब 1.30 बजे पुलिसकर्मियों ने गांव में रहने वाले बिजेंदर के भाई रंजीत को कॉल कर उसके एक्सीडेंट की सूचना दी। रंजीत ने दिल्ली में नागेंद्र को हादसे के बारे में बताया।

इसके बाद परिवार को खबर दी गई। पुलिस ने शव पोस्टमार्टम के बाद परिजनों के हवाले कर दिया। परिजन शव को एंबुलेंस से मोतिहारी ले गए। नागेंद्र ने बताया कि कई साल ऑटो चलाने के बाद भाई वर्ष 2012 में कैब चलाने लगा। कुछ माह पूर्व ही उसने अपने एक जानकार के नाम पर कैब फाइनेंस करवाई थी।

Bijender, who had just passed eighth grade, always regretted that he could not study himself, but would definitely make his children a great man by educating them. His elder daughter Sunita was trying to convert this passion into reality, but everything went down the drain. Saying this, Bijender's brother started crying bitterly.

There is chaos in the house since the news of Bijender's death. No one can believe that he is no more in this world. Family members say that in order to educate the children, Bijender used to frequently drive a taxi without coming home for 24 hours. It was the result of his hard work that his daughter topped the district in class 12th.

Later she came to Delhi and took admission in BA History Hons in Deshbandhu College, DU. After this she started coaching for UPSC. Bijender wanted to make his daughter an IAS officer. Sunita is in bad condition after her father's death. Sunita says what will happen to her family now.

Bijender was the only earning person in the house. A family member told that Bijender, originally from Motihari, Bihar, came to Delhi in the year 1996 to earn. After coming here he started driving an auto. Later in 2001, he got married to Sugandhi Devi. The family started living on rent in a house located in Surya Colony, Faridabad.

Five children were born to Bijender. It consists of elder daughter Sunita (20), son Alok (18), daughter Kiran (17), daughter Nandani (15) and younger son Akash (12). Except Sunita, the remaining four children live in the village with their grandfather Lakshmi Shah and grandmother Lalti Devi. The children are staying there and studying. Bijender had brought Sunita to Delhi for higher education.

Bijender himself has four brothers and one sister. Bijender's brother Nagendra, who lives in Dallupura, Delhi, told that his brother had left home by taking a taxi at 2 pm on Tuesday. At around 7 pm, sister-in-law Sugandhi Devi had called Bijender to ask for money for vegetables. Bijender transferred Rs 90 online.

After this he did not return. At around 1.30 in the night, policemen called Bijender's brother Ranjit, who lives in the village, and informed him about his accident. Ranjeet informed Nagendra about the accident in Delhi.

After this the family was informed. The police handed over the body to the family members after post-mortem. The family took the body to Motihari in an ambulance. Nagendra told that after driving an auto for many years, brother started driving a cab in the year 2012. A few months ago, he had got the cab financed in the name of one of his acquaintances.
