विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए नामांकन प्रक्रिया शुरू होने में महज एक दिन शेष है, लेकिन कांग्रेस अभी तक जिले की 11 सीटों पर पूरे प्रत्याशियों की घोषणा नहीं कर पाई है। गत सितम्बर में ही उम्मीदवारों की घोषणा का दावा करने वाली कांग्रेस एक महीने की मशक्कत के बाद अभी तक जिले में चार सीटों पर प्रत्याशी घोषित कर सकी है। जबकि सात सीटों की तस्वीर साफ होना बाकी है।

कांग्रेस वैसे तो सरकार रिपीट करने का दावा कर रही है, लेकिन प्रत्याशियों का चयन पार्टी के पुराने व नए चेहरों के बीच अटका है। सरकार रिपीट करने के लिए पार्टी इस बार विधानसभा चुनाव में कुछ सीटों पर नए चेहरे उतारना चाहती है, लेकिन प्रदेश के कई सीटों पर उठे बगावती सुर के चलते निर्णय पर नहीं पहुंच पा रही है। अलवर जिले में पार्टी नेताओं काे नए चेहरे उतारने पर पुराने दावेदारों की ओर से बगावत का भय सता रहा है। यही कांग्रेस की प्रत्याशियों की सूची घोषित होने में देरी का बड़ा कारण भी है।

सात सीटों पर नए व पुराने के बीच घमासान
कांग्रेस की ओर से जिले में अभी सात विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में प्रत्याशी की घोषण की जानी है। इनमें सबसे ज्यादा इंतजार अलवर शहर सीट को लेकर है। वहीं तिजारा, किशनगढ़बास सीट पर वर्तमान में कांग्रेस विधायक हैं और ये पिछले विधानसभा चुनाव में बसपा से जीतने के बाद कांग्रेस में शामिल हुए। वहीं इन सीटों पर कांग्रेस के पुराने व कुछ नए चेहरे भी टिकट के प्रमुख दावेदारों में शामिल है। इसी तरह थानागाजी में निर्दलीय विधायक भी पांच साल तक कांग्रेस सरकार के साथ रहे, यहां कुछ नए व पुराने नेता भी कांग्रेस टिकट पर दावा कर रहे हैं। इसके अलावा कांग्रेस के दो मौजूदा विधायकों के क्षेत्र में भी कई नए चेहरे टिकट को आतुर है। राठ की बहरोड़ सीट भी नए और पुराने चेहरों के फेर में फंसी है।

प्रत्याशी घोषणा में देरी का हो सकता है नुकसान
कांग्रेस की ओर से प्रत्याशियों की घोषणा में देरी का नुकसान पार्टी को विधानसभा चुनाव में उठाना पड़ सकता है। कारण है कि इनमें से कुछ सीटों पर भाजपा की ओर से प्रत्याशी उतारे जाने से प्रचार अभियान शुरू हो चुका है, वहीं कांग्रेस के कार्यकर्ता अभी चेहरे के फेर में ही अटके हैं।

Congress is yet to announce candidates in seven assembly constituencies in the district. Among these, the biggest wait is for Alwar city seat. Tijara is currently the Congress MLA from Kishangarhbas seat and he joined Congress after winning from BSP in the last assembly elections. At the same time, old and some new faces of Congress are also among the main contenders for tickets on these seats. Similarly, in Thanagaji, independent MLAs also remained with the Congress government for five years, here some new and old leaders are also claiming the Congress ticket. Apart from this, many new faces are also eager for tickets in the field of two sitting Congress MLAs. Behror seat of Rath is also stuck in the mix of new and old faces.

Delay in candidate announcement may cause harm
The party may have to suffer losses due to delay in announcement of candidates by Congress in the assembly elections. The reason is that the campaign has started due to BJP fielding candidates on some of these seats, while the Congress workers are still stuck in the face.
