जयपुर।राजस्थान में सरकार और पेट्रोलियम डीलर्स के बीच पेट्रोल-डीज़ल पर वैट कम करने को लेकर लंबे समय तक बना गतिरोध जल्द टूटने के कगार पर दिख रहा है। राजस्थान पेट्रोलियम डीलर्स एसोसिएशन के साथ सरकार की विशेष समिति की आज फिर एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक प्रस्तावित है। माना जा रहा है कि आज की बैठक में दोनों पक्षों के बीच कोई सहमति बन सकती है। अगर ऐसा होता है तो ये तय है कि राजस्थान में पेट्रोल-डीज़ल पर वैट दर में सरकार कुछ कटौती करेगी जिससे पेट्रोलियम डीलर्स के साथ ही आम जनता को बड़ी राहत नसीब होगी।

सरकार के पाले में गेंद, ‘गणित’ पर हो रहा काम
वित्त सचिव (राजस्व) के अगुवाई में गठित सरकार की उच्च स्तरीय कमेटी फिलहाल पेट्रोलियम डीलर्स एसोसिएशन की पंजाब के समान वैट दर करने की प्रमुख मांग के तकनीकी पहलू पर काम कर रही है। वैट कटौती के बाद पेट्रोल-डीज़ल की बिक्री से लेकर सरकार को वैट से मिल रहे राजस्व तक में क्या और कितना असर पड़ेगा, इसके हर छोटे-बड़े पहलुओं पर अफसर ‘जोड़-भाग’ करने में जुटे हैं।

तो 5 रुपए तक होगी कटौती!
राजस्थान पेट्रोलियम डीलर्स एसोसिएशन संरक्षक सुनीत बगई ने ‘न्यूज़ टुडे’ से बातचीत में कहा कि एसोसिएशन पदाधिकारियों ने अपनी मांगों के साथ ही वैट कम करने से राजस्व और पेट्रोल-डीज़ल बिक्री पर असर से सरकार को अवगत करवा दिया है। इनमें से ज़्यादातर पर सरकार की विशेष समिति का सकारात्मक रुख रहा है।संभावना है कि गतिरोध वैट दर के एवरेज राउंड ऑफ़ के बाद टूट सकता है। बगई ने उम्मीद जताई कि सब कुछ मांगों के अनुसार होता है तो पेट्रोल-डीज़ल पर लगभग पांच रूपए तक की कटौती हो सकती है। पेट्रोलियम डीलर्स कमेटी से वार्ता के बाद ही पेट्रोल पंपों को बेमियादी बंद करने के बारे में निर्णय लेंगे।

Jaipur: The long standing deadlock between the government and petroleum dealers in Rajasthan over reducing VAT on petrol and diesel seems to be on the verge of breaking soon. An important meeting of the special committee of the government with the Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association is again proposed today. It is believed that some agreement can be reached between the two parties in today's meeting. If this happens, then it is certain that the government will make some reduction in the VAT rate on petrol and diesel in Rajasthan, which will provide great relief to the petroleum dealers as well as the general public.

The ball is in the government's court, work is being done on 'mathematics'
A high-level committee of the government headed by the Finance Secretary (Revenue) is currently working on the technical aspects of the main demand of the Petroleum Dealers Association to make the VAT rate at par with Punjab. After the VAT cut, the officers are busy making calculations on every small and big aspect of what and how much impact there will be on the sales of petrol and diesel and the revenue the government gets from VAT.

So the deduction will be up to Rs 5!
Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association patron Sunit Bagai said while talking to 'News Today' that the association officials have informed the government about their demands as well as the impact of reducing VAT on revenue and petrol-diesel sales. The government's special committee has taken a positive stance on most of these. There is a possibility that the impasse may be broken after the average rounding off of the VAT rate. Bagai expressed hope that if everything happens as per the demands then there can be a reduction of up to Rs 5 on petrol and diesel. The petroleum dealers will take the decision regarding indefinite closure of petrol pumps only after talks with the committee.
