सुप्रीम कोर्ट से मनीष सिसोदिया को झटका, शराब घोटाला केस में जमानत याचिका खारिज

सुप्रीम कोर्ट कथित दिल्ली शराब नीति घोटाले के सिलसिले में केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के पूर्व उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया की जमानत देने से इनकार कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने उनकी याचिका को खारिज करते हुए ट्रायल कोर्ट को छह से आठ महीने में सुनवाई पूरी करने के निर्देश दिए। 

इससे पहले, 17 अक्तूबर को जस्टिस संजीव खन्ना और जस्टिस एसवीएन भाटी की पीठ ने सीबीआई और ईडी की ओर से पेश उनके वकील अभिषेक सिंघवी और अतिरिक्त सॉलिसिटर जनरल एसवी राजू को सुनने के बाद सिसोदिया की दो अलग-अलग जमानत याचिकाओं पर फैसला सुरक्षित रखा था। बता दें कि सिसोदिया को केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) और प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) दोनों द्वारा जांच की जा रही उत्पाद नीति मामलों में गिरफ्तार किया गया था।

इसके पहले दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने उनकी जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी थी। इसके बाद उन्होंने फैसले को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती दी। जांच एजेंसियों (ईडी और सीबीआई) की ओर से पेश अतिरिक्त सॉलिसिटर जनरल एसवी राजू ने अदालत को बताया था कि मुकदमा 9 से 12 महीने के भीतर समाप्त हो सकता है। मामले में 294 गवाह और हजारों दस्तावेज पेश किए गए हैं।

26 फरवरी को गिरफ्तारी, कैबिनेट से इस्तीफा

बता दें कि सिसोदिया को 26 फरवरी को 'घोटाले' में उनकी कथित भूमिका के लिए सीबीआई ने गिरफ्तार किया था। तब से वह हिरासत में हैं। ईडी ने तिहाड़ जेल में उनसे पूछताछ के बाद 9 मार्च को सीबीआई की एफआईआर से जुड़े मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लिया। उन्होंने 28 फरवरी को दिल्ली कैबिनेट से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। गौरतलब है कि इस मामले में विपक्षी दल भाजपा और दिल्ली में सत्तारुढ़ आम आदमी पार्टी के बीच जमकर सियासी बयानबाजी भी होती है।

Earlier, on October 17, a bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhati had reserved its verdict on two separate bail pleas of Sisodia after hearing his lawyer Abhishek Singhvi and Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing for the CBI and ED. . Earlier, Delhi High Court had rejected his bail plea. After this he challenged the decision in the Supreme Court. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing for the investigating agencies (ED and CBI), had told the court that the trial could conclude within 9 to 12 months. 294 witnesses and thousands of documents have been presented in the case.

Arrest on 26 February, resignation from cabinet

Let us inform you that Sisodia was arrested by CBI on February 26 for his alleged role in the 'scam'. Since then he is in custody. ED arrested him on March 9 in a money laundering case related to the CBI FIR after interrogating him in Tihar Jail. He resigned from the Delhi Cabinet on 28 February. It is noteworthy that in this matter there is a lot of political rhetoric between the opposition party BJP and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi.
