एक नाबालिग लड़की से कथित सामूहिक दुष्कर्म के प्रयास के बाद मध्यरात्रि को राजस्थान के जयपुर में झोटवाड़ा क्षेत्र के निवासियों ने पुलिस स्टेशन के बाहर प्रदर्शन किया। 

स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार, एक निजी स्कूल के ड्राइवर ने कुछ अन्य लोगों के साथ मिलकर एक नाबालिग लड़की को स्कूल छोड़ने के रास्ते में उसके साथ Assault करने का प्रयास किया। पुलिस पर निष्क्रियता का आरोप लगाते हुए निवासी सड़कों पर उतर आए, हालांकि मामला 8 दिसंबर को दर्ज किया गया था।

BJP विधायक मौके पर पहुंची
पुलिस ने कहा कि एडीसीपी गुरुशरण राव के नेतृत्व में एक टीम ने जांच की है और अपराधियों के खिलाफ आवश्यक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। प्रदर्शन की सूचना पर मौके पर पहुंची बीजेपी विधायक दीया कुमारी ने कहा कि ड्राइवर और अन्य आरोपियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि आरोपियों को हिरासत में ले लिया गया है और उनसे पूछताछ की जा रही है।

Protest after attempted gang rape of a minor, police assures action

Residents of Jhotwara area in Rajasthan's Jaipur protested outside the police station at midnight following the alleged gang rape attempt on a minor girl.

According to local people, the driver of a private school, along with some other people, attempted to assault a minor girl on her way to school. Residents took to the streets accusing police of inaction, although the case was registered on December 8.

BJP MLA reached the spot
Police said a team led by ADCP Gurusharan Rao has conducted an investigation and necessary action will be taken against the culprits. BJP MLA Diya Kumari, who reached the spot after getting information about the protest, said that a case has been registered against the driver and other accused. He further said that the accused have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.
