भाजपा से यहां सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह टीटी प्रत्याशी है, जिन्हें चुनाव जीतने के पहले ही मंत्रिमंडल में शामिल किया गया और कृषि विपणन, कृषि सिंचित क्षेत्र विकास और इंदिरा गांधी नहर जैसे विभाग दिए गए। जबकि कांग्रेस से प्रत्याशी स्वर्गवासी कांग्रेस नेता के बेटे रुपिंदर कुमार है। इन दोनों में से कौन जीत हासिल करेगा उस पर निर्णय आज होने वाला है, क्योंकि 5 जनवरी को हुए चुनाव की मतगणना आज होने वाली है।
