सूत्रों की माने तो महरिया के भाजपा में जाने के बाद डोटासरा खेमे को भी डर सताने लगा है। चिंता इस बात को लेकर है कि महरिया ने अगर विपक्षी पार्टी के नेताओं के सामने डोटासरा से जुड़े राज खोल दिए तो विधानसभा चुनाव में मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। साथ ही विपक्षी नेता सांवरमल के जरिए इन बातों को जोर-शोर से उठाकर चुनावी फायदा ले सकते हैं।

पीसीसी वॉररूम के केयर टेकर थे महरिया
डोटासरा ने अपने नजदीकी महरिया को पीसीसी वॉर रूम वाले 7 नंबर बंगले के केयर टेकर की जिम्मेदारी भी दे रखी थी। यहां होने वाली बैठकों और अन्य आयोजनों की जिम्मेदारी भी महरिया के कंधों पर ही होती थी। अब कांग्रेस गलियारों में चर्चा इस बात को लेकर हो रही है कि आखिर पीसीसी चीफ के सबसे भरोसेमंद व्यक्ति को ही भाजपा क्यों ज्वॉइन करनी पड़ी।

बताया जा रहा है कि डोटासरा जब शिक्षा राज्य मंत्री थे तब ट्रांसफर-पोस्टिंग से लेकर कई अन्य कामों में महरिया की भूमिका रही है। पेपर लीक मामलों के बाद जब डोटासरा ईडी की रडार पर आए तो उसके बाद से ही महरिया ने धीरे-धीरे उनसे किनारा करना शुरू कर दिया था। कहा ये भी जा रहा है कि महरिया शेखावाटी की किसी सीट से चुनाव लड़ने के इच्छुक थे लेकिन डोटासरा ने उन्हें टिकट देने से इनकार कर दिया था, जिससे नाराज होकर उन्होंने भाजपा का दामन थाम लिया। कई कार्यकर्ताओं का कहना है कि जांच के छींटे उन तक नहीं आए, इसके लिए भी महरिया ने भाजपा में जाना उचित समझा।
