बुधवार के दिन बीकानेर पुलिस की सक्रियता का प्रमुख आधार रहा। एक ओर, पुलिस ने हाई टेक तरीके से तस्करी करने वाले लोगों को पकड़ा, जबकि दूसरी ओर, शहर में लगातार मोबाइल चोरी और चेन स्नेचिंग की घटनाओं को अंजाम देने वाले एक गिरोह के 7 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।

गंगाशहर पुलिस द्वारा की गई इस कार्रवाई में पुलिस ने इन 7 आरोपियों से 20 मोबाइल फोन और सोने के गहने भी बरामद किए हैं। गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों की पहचान घड़सीसर निवासी आसिफ राजा पुत्र रुस्तम हुसैन, रियासत अली पुत्र शमसुद्दीन, हमीद राजा पुत्र वाहिद मियां, गोगागेट निवासी राहुल पुत्र सुंदरलाल नायक, चौखुटि निवासी माजिद पुत्र निसार, सलमान पुत्र रफीक, और मेघवाल मोहल्ला निवासी आजाद पुत्र कायम के रूप में की गई है। पुलिस ने इन आरोपियों से वीवो, ओपो, वनप्लस, रियल मी कंपनियों के फोन बरामद किए हैं। फिलहाल, इनको गिरफ्तार कर आगे की जांच जारी है। गंगाशहर पुलिस की इस कार्रवाई में महेंद्र और मुखराम की विशेष भूमिका रही।
