कांग्रेस सांसद धीरज प्रसाद साहू के खिलाफ आयकर विभाग का एक्शन जारी है और अब तक उनके ठिकानों से करीब 350 करोड़ कैश बरामद हुए हैं. ओडिशा के बोलांगीर जिले में देशी शराब निर्माण इकाई से संबधित परिसरों पर छापेमारी के बाद अब आयकर विभाग की नजर सांसद धीरज साहू के रांची स्थित आवास पर है, जहां इनकम टैक्स की रेड जारी है. आयकर विभाग की टीम को शक है कि कहीं सांसद धीरज साहू ने जमीन के भीतर खजाना तो नहीं छिपा रखा है. यही वजह है कि उनके घर समेत परिसरों पर लगातार आठ दिनों से इनकम टैक्स के अधिकारी कार्रवाई कर रहे हैं.

दरअसल, धीरज साहू के घर को मंगलवार की देर शाम को जीईओ सर्विलांस सिस्टम के जरिए खंगाला गया. आयकर विभाग की टीम को शक था कि जमीन के अंदर रुपए और जेवरात छिपे हो सकते हैं, यही वजह है कि टीम ने इस तकनीक का सहारा लिया. GEO सर्विलांस सिस्टम की मदद से हो रही छापेमारी के बाद सांसद धीरज साहू के आवास पर हलचल बढ़ गई है. अभी तक सांसद धीरज साहू के ठिकानों से 300 से अधिक के कैश बरामद किए गए हैं.

दरअसल, इससे पहले आयकर विभाग ने ओडिशा के बोलांगीर जिले में देशी शराब निर्माण इकाई से संबधित परिसरों में तलाशी अभियान के दौरान 350 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की बेहिसाब नकदी तथा लगभग तीन किलोग्राम सोना बरामद किया. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि जैसे ही छापेमारी पूरी हुई, आयकर टीम सुतापाड़ा स्थित कंपनी के दो प्रबंधकों को पूछताछ के लिए अज्ञात स्थान पर ले गई. कंपनी का स्वामित्व झारखंड निवासी कांग्रेस सांसद धीरज प्रसाद साहू के परिवार के पास है.

कर चोरी के संबंध में एक गुप्त सूचना के बाद आयकर विभाग के अधिकारियों ने छह दिसंबर को ओडिशा में छह स्थानों पर तलाशी अभियान शुरू किया. बोलांगीर और संबलपुर में बैंक कर्मचारियों सहित 200 से अधिक लोग नकदी की तलाशी और गिनती में लगे हुए थे. छापेमारी बोलांगीर, टिटलागढ़, बौध, राउरकेला, सुंदरगढ़ और भुवनेश्वर में की गई. आयकर विभाग के महानिदेशक संजय बहादुर छापेमारी की निगरानी के लिए भुवनेश्वर में डेरा डाले रहे.

After raiding the premises related to the country liquor manufacturing unit in Bolangir district of Odisha, the Income Tax Department is now eyeing the Ranchi residence of MP Dheeraj Sahu, where the Income Tax raid is going on. The Income Tax Department team suspects that MP Dheeraj Sahu has hidden treasure underground. This is the reason why Income Tax officials have been taking action on his premises including his house for eight consecutive days.

Actually, Dheeraj Sahu's house was searched through GEO surveillance system late on Tuesday evening. The Income Tax Department team suspected that money and jewelery might be hidden underground, which is why the team resorted to this technique. After the raid being conducted with the help of GEO surveillance system, there has been increased commotion at the residence of MP Dheeraj Sahu. Till now, cash worth more than Rs 300 has been recovered from the premises of MP Dheeraj Sahu.

In fact, earlier the Income Tax Department recovered unaccounted cash worth more than Rs 350 crore and about three kilograms of gold during a search operation in the premises related to the country liquor manufacturing unit in Bolangir district of Odisha. Officials said that as soon as the raid was completed, the Income Tax team took two managers of the Sutapada-based company to an undisclosed location for questioning. The company is owned by the family of Jharkhand resident Congress MP Dheeraj Prasad Sahu.

Following a tip-off regarding tax evasion, Income Tax Department officials launched search operations at six locations in Odisha on December 6. More than 200 people, including bank employees, were engaged in searching and counting cash in Bolangir and Sambalpur. Raids were conducted in Bolangir, Titlagarh, Boudh, Rourkela, Sundergarh and Bhubaneswar. Income Tax Department Director General Sanjay Bahadur remained camping in Bhubaneswar to monitor the raids.
