राजस्थान में अब चुनाव की तस्वीर साफ हो गई है। दो सौ विधानसभा सीट पर जीत के लिए रेस शुरू हो गई है। 1800 से ज्यादा नेता इस रेस में दौड़ रहे हैं, जिनमें करीब दो सौ से ज्यादा महिला नेता भी शामिल हैं। इस बीच ऐसी भी महिला नेता हैं जो बिना चेहरा दिखाए ही वोट मांग रही हैं।

पति के लिए चित्रा सिंह का अनोखा प्रचार
ये ऐसी इकलौती महिला नेता हैं जो इस तरह से जनता के बीच प्रचार के लिए जा रही हैं। इनका नाम चित्रा सिंह है। हालांकि ये खुद चुनाव नहीं लड़ रही हैं, लेकिन इनके पति मानवेन्द्र सिंह राजस्थान के रण में उतरे हैं। ऐसे में ये पति के लिए अपने क्षेत्र में इसी तरह से वोट की अपील कर रही हैं। मानवेद्र सिंह जसोल, बालोतरा जिले की सिवाना सीट से कांग्रेसी पार्टी से उम्मीदवार हैं।

राजपूत और राजस्थान में घूंघट की प्रथा
दरअसल मानवेन्द्र सिंह राजपूत समाज से आते हैं। उनकी पत्नी चित्रा सिंह भी इसी समाज से हैं। राजस्थान और नजदीक के अन्य राज्यों में घूंघट कर अपने से बड़ों को सम्मान देने की एक प्रथा है। खासतौर पर राजपूत और ब्राहम्ण समाज में तो यह अभी भी चल रहा है। चित्रा सिंह खुद चुनाव नहीं लड़ रही हैं लेकिन वे अपने पति मानवेन्द्र सिंह का नाम लिए बिना वह उनके लिए वोट मांग रही है और इसका रेस्पोंस भी अच्छा मिल रहा है।

बड़ों का मान रखने के लिए घूंघट
चित्रा सिंह ने कहा कि घूंघट तो बड़ों का मान रखने के लिए किया है। जिस तरह से पाग और पगढ़ी राजस्थान की आन, बान और शान है उसी तरह से घुंघट भी मान है। मानवेंद्र सिंह पहले भी एक बार सांसद और विधायक रह चुके हैं, उस दौरान भी उनकी पत्नी चित्रा सिंह ने इसी तरह से वोट अपील की थी। वे और उनके परिवार की महिलाएं एवं अन्य कार्यकर्ता इसी तरह से वोट मांग रही थीं और इसका फायदा ये हुआ कि मानवेन्द्र सिंह जीत गए थे।
