अजमेर के फॉयसागर रोड पर स्थित पंजाब नेशनल बैंक की ब्रांच में चोरों ने सुरंग बनाकर सेंध लगाने के प्रयास किया। बैंक प्रबंधक की शिकायत पर गंज थाना पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। शनिवार को गंज थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और घटनास्थल के आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी भी खंगाले।

जानकारी के अनुसार फॉयसागर रोड स्थित पीएनबी शाखा के पास में खाली प्लॉट से चोरों ने बैंक तक सुरंग बना दी। बैंक के स्ट्रांग रूम की दीवार में सेंध लगाने के इरादे से सुरंग बनाई गई। लेकिन जाग होने से सुरंग छोड़ कर भाग निकले। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही बैंक प्रबंधन में हलचल मच गई। सुरंग को भरने के साथ ही बैंक की दीवार में बने छेद की मरम्मत की गई।

गंज थाना प्रभारी भीखाराम काला ने बताया कि शुक्रवार रात बैंक प्रबंधन की ओर से शिकायत दी गई। शनिवार सुबह घटनास्थल का मौका मुआयना किया गया है। बैंक प्रतिनिधियों ने दीवार की मरम्मत करवा दी है। घटना 30 अगस्त की बताई जा रही है। मामले को लेकर सीसीटीवी खंगाले जा रहे हैं।

पुलिस की गश्त पर खड़े किए सवाल
शनिवार सुबह अजमेर उत्तर से विधायक वासुदेव देवनानी भी घटनास्थल पर पहुंच गए। विधायक के द्वारा गंज थाना पुलिस से घटना की जानकारी ली गई। मीडिया से बातचीत में देवनानी ने कहा कि बैंक मैनेजर ने बिना पुलिस को इन्फॉर्म किए सुरंग ठीक कर दी यह नियम विरुद्ध है और पुलिस को बाद में शिकायत दी गई। देवनानी ने कहा कि पुलिस की गश्त कम होने के कारण आए दिन चोरियां हो रही हैं, पुलिस प्रशासन को इसे कठोरता से लेना चाहिए।
