वॉट्सऐप ने अब अपने यूजर्स के लिए एक नई Pass-Key फीचर पेश की है, जिसके माध्यम से यूजर्स बिना पासवर्ड या OTP के अपने अकाउंट में लॉग

दुनिया के सबसे ज्यादा इस्तेमाल होने वाले मेसेजिंग प्लेटफॉर्म WhatsApp ने यूजर्स को एंड्रॉयड प्लेटफॉर्म पर नए Pass-Key फीचर का सपोर्ट दे दिया है। इस फीचर के साथ अब यूजर्स बिना कोई पासवर्ड या OTP एंटर किए अकाउंट में लॉगिन कर सकेंगे। अब ऐसा करने के लिए फिंगरप्रिंट, फेस-ID या फिर PIN की मदद ली जा सकेगी। 

माइक्रोब्लॉगिंग प्लेटफॉर्म X पर नया फीचर रोलआउट करने की जानकारी देते हुए लिखा, "एंड्रॉयड यूजर्स अब आसानी से केवल फेस, फिंगरप्रिंट या फिर पिन अनलॉक के जरिए वॉट्सऐप अकाउंट ऐक्सेस कर सकेंगे।" इस ऐप ने एक शॉर्ट वीडियो भी ऐप पर शेयर किया है, जिसमें बताया गया है कि वॉट्सऐप का इस्तेमाल अब आसान होने वाला है। 

खत्म हुई इस फीचर की टेस्टिंग

मेटा की ओनरशिप वाले मेसेजिंग प्लेटफॉर्म ने पास-की फीचर की बीटा टेस्टिंग पिछले महीने सितंबर में शुरू की थी। टेस्टिंग पूरी होने के बाद अब इसे एंड्रॉयड ऐप का हिस्सा बनाया जा रहा है। इसके बाद ऐप के iOS वर्जन और बाकी प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर भी इस नए फीचर का फायदा जल्द यूजर्स को मिलने लगेगा। 

गूगल भी दे रहा है ऐसा विकल्प

गूगल की ओर से हाल ही में इसके यूजर्स को पासवर्ड के बजाय डिवाइसेज में लॉगिन करने के लिए पास-की फीचर दिया गया है। इस फीचर का फायदा यह है कि सिंगल ऑथेंटिकेशन के साथ कई सेवाएं ऐक्सेस की जा सकती हैं। माना जा रहा है कि यह फीचर आने वाले वक्त में पासवर्ड की जरूरत खत्म कर सकता है। 

वॉट्सऐप या अन्य प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर पास-की के जरिए यूजर्स उनके बायोमेट्रिक डीटेल्स ही लॉगिन के लिए इस्तेमाल कर पाएंगे, जिनके साथ वे डिवाइस अनलॉक करते हैं। ज्यादातर स्मार्टफोन्स व अन्य डिवाइसेज में मिलने वाले फिंगरप्रिंट स्कैनर और फेस ID स्कैनर के चलते इसका इस्तेमाल आसान हो गया है।

Testing of this feature is over

Meta-owned messaging platform started beta testing of the pass-key feature in September last month. After completion of testing, it is now being made a part of the Android app. After this, users will soon start getting the benefit of this new feature on the iOS version of the app and other platforms also.

Google is also giving such option

Recently, Google has given its users the pass-key feature to login into the devices instead of password. The advantage of this feature is that multiple services can be accessed with a single authentication. It is believed that this feature can eliminate the need for passwords in the future.

Through Passkey on WhatsApp or other platforms, users will be able to use only their biometric details for login, with which they unlock the device. Its use has become easy due to fingerprint scanner and face ID scanner found in most smartphones and other devices.
