दरअसल, प्रयागराज के रहने वाले डॉक्टर प्रकाश खेतान ने अपनी बेटी मिता खेतान को पढ़ाने के लिए कोटा भेजा था। वह बेटी को डॉक्टर बनाना चाहते थे और कोटा में नीट की तैयारी करने के लिए बेटी को भेजा गया था। लेकिन कुछ दिन कोटा में रहने के बाद मीता को यहां से डर लगने लगा । आए दिन सुसाइड की खबरें और नेगेटिव एक्टिविटीज ने उसे कोटा और पढ़ाई से दूर कर दिया ।‌वह चुपचाप अपने घर लौट गई और पिता को कहा कि वह कोटा रहकर नहीं पढ़ सकती, ना ही उसे नीट की तैयारी करनी है।

बेटी ने नीट देने से मना किया तो पिता भी करने लगे तैयारी

बेटी को इस हालत में देखकर एक बार तो डॉक्टर प्रकाश खेतान को भी चिंता होने लगी। लेकिन उन्होंने कुछ दिन बेटी को टाइम दिया और उसके बाद उसे फिर से नीट की तैयारी करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। बेटी ने नीट की तैयारी करने से इनकार किया तो पिता ने भी साथ ही नीट की तैयारी की । पिता ने बेटी को प्रेरणा दी।‌ दोनों ने मिलकर पढ़ाई शुरू कर दी, हालांकि इस बार तैयारी उन्होंने प्रयागराज से ही की।
