अटल-आडवाणी युग के नेताओं के राजनीतिक सफर का अंत?

राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ में हाल ही में सत्ता परिवर्तन के साथ, भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) ने तीनों राज्यों के लिए पिछले नेताओं की जगह नए मुख्यमंत्रियों की घोषणा की है। छत्तीसगढ़ में विष्णुदेव साय, एमपी में मोहन यादव और राजस्थान में भजनलाल शर्मा को मुख्यमंत्री चुना गया है। तीन बार छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री रहे रमन सिंह को अब विधानसभा अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया है। हालाँकि, 18 वर्षों तक मध्य प्रदेश पर शासन करने वाले शिवराज सिंह चौहान और राजस्थान की दो बार मुख्यमंत्री रहीं वसुंधरा राजे की भविष्य की राजनीतिक भूमिकाओं को लेकर अनिश्चितता है। यह एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न है जिसका उत्तर दिया जाना अभी बाकी है।

अटल-आडवाणी युग के दौरान, भाजपा ने वसुंधरा राजे, शिवराज सिंह चौहान और डॉ. रमन सिंह को नेता के रूप में चुना और उन्होंने सफलतापूर्वक अपने-अपने राज्यों में खुद को क्षेत्रीय नेता के रूप में स्थापित किया। हालाँकि, मोदी-शाह युग में बदलते समय के साथ, इन तीनों नेताओं ने अब खुद को ऐसी स्थिति में पाया है जहाँ उन्हें खुद भूमिका निभाने के बजाय मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए किसी अन्य पार्टी के नेता की सिफारिश करनी पड़ी है। क्या यह अटल-आडवाणी युग के नेताओं के राजनीतिक सफर के अंत का संकेत है?

दोनों मुख्यमंत्रियों को लेकर रुख साफ नहीं

छत्तीसगढ़ के पूर्व सीएम रमन सिंह को विधानसभा अध्यक्ष की भूमिका सौंपी गई है, हालांकि, यह अनिश्चित है कि वसुंधरा राजे और शिवराज सिंह चौहान का राजनीतिक भविष्य क्या होगा? भाजपा के शीर्ष नेतृत्व ने अभी तक इन पूर्व मुख्यमंत्रियों के लिए अपनी योजनाओं का खुलासा नहीं किया है कि क्या उन्हें केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल में स्थान देने पर विचार किया जाएगा या उन्हें भाजपा संगठन में जगह दी जाएगी?

64 वर्ष की आयु में शिवराज सिंह चौहान और 70 वर्ष की आयु में वसुंधरा राजे को महत्वपूर्ण लोकप्रियता और राजनीतिक समर्थन प्राप्त है। केवल चार महीनों में आगामी लोकसभा चुनावों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, क्या पार्टी इन दोनों सम्मानित नेताओं के महत्व को स्वीकार करती है और पार्टी संगठन या केंद्र सरकार के भीतर उनकी भूमिकाओं पर सावधानीपूर्वक विचार करने का इरादा रखती है। यह भी देखने वाली बात होगी। 

पहले केंद्रीय राजनीति में प्रवेश करने का अवसर दिए जाने के बावजूद, वसुंधरा और शिवराज दोनों नेताओं ने राज्य की राजनीति पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने का विकल्प चुना था। 2018 के विधानसभा चुनाव में हार के बाद ही वसुंधरा राजे और शिवराज सिंह चौहान को राष्ट्रीय टीम में जगह दी गई थी। 

नए चेहरों को तरजीह

भाजपा के शीर्ष नेतृत्व ने दोनों राज्यों में नया नेतृत्व स्थापित करने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी थी। इसके बावजूद, वसुंधरा राजे ने राजस्थान की राजनीति में मजबूत स्थिति बनाए रखी और पार्टी विधायकों का विश्वास हासिल किया। इसी तरह शिवराज सिंह चौहान भी मध्य प्रदेश की राजनीति में अपना दबदबा बनाए हुए थे। हालाँकि, 2023 के चुनावों की घोषणा के साथ ही समीकरण बदलते हुए प्रतीत हो गए थे, लेकिन फिर भी इन दोनों की भूमिका को नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता। 

पांच राज्यों के विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए बीजेपी ने सीएम उम्मीदवार की घोषणा नहीं की। इसके बजाय, उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की उपलब्धियों और नेतृत्व पर अभियान चलाया। इससे पहले पार्टी ने राजस्थान में वसुंधरा, एमपी में शिवराज और छत्तीसगढ़ में रमन सिंह के नेतृत्व में प्रचार किया था। हालाँकि, जब भाजपा ने तीनों राज्यों में बहुमत हासिल किया, तो नेतृत्व परिवर्तन की संभावना जोर पकड़ गई थी। तीनों राज्यों में मौजूदा नेताओं की जगह नये नेताओं को चुना गया जैसा की पहले से ही लग रहा था। नतीजतन, अब राजनीति में शिवराज और वसुंधरा राजे की भविष्य की भूमिकाओं को लेकर अटकलें तेज हो गई हैं।

क्या केंद्र में आएंगी वसुंधरा?

वसुन्धरा राजे वर्तमान में झालरापाटन से विधायक के पद पर हैं और भाजपा की राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष के पद पर भी कार्यरत हैं। संगठन के भीतर उनकी मजबूत स्थिति को देखते हुए, स्थानीय स्तर पर उनके लिए दूसरी भूमिका ढूंढना चुनौतीपूर्ण हो सकता है। दूसरी ओर, उनके बेटे दुष्यंत, जो सांसद हैं, उन्हें फिर से लोकसभा में भेजने पर विचार किया जा सकता है। हालाँकि, यह संभव है कि 2024 में राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सत्ता के लिए वसुंधरा राजे की बोली का समर्थन करने के लिए, उनके बेटे के लिए विधायक के लिए दौड़ना और उपचुनाव के माध्यम से विधानसभा में एक सीट सुरक्षित करना फायदेमंद हो सकता है। साथ ही उनके राज्यपाल नियुक्त होने की भी संभावना है, क्योंकि बीजेपी ने अपने कई वरिष्ठ नेताओं को राजभवन में नियुक्त किया है।

इसके साथ ही मध्य प्रदेश के पूर्व सीएम शिवराज सिंह चौहान की राजनीतिक संभावनाओं को लेकर भी चर्चाएं चल रही हैं। इन चर्चाओं में केंद्रीय मंत्री या भाजपा संगठन के भीतर उनकी संभावित भूमिका सहित संभावनाओं की एक विस्तृत श्रृंखला शामिल है। हालाँकि, यह ध्यान दिया जाना चाहिए कि शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ने के किसी भी इरादे से दृढ़ता से इनकार कर दिया है और दिल्ली में स्थानांतरित न होने के अपने रुख को बार-बार दोहराया है। उन्होंने व्यक्तिगत अनुरोध न करने की प्राथमिकता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि यह उनकी जिम्मेदारी नहीं है। बहरहाल, बाद में उन्होंने पार्टी के किसी भी निर्णय का समर्थन करने की अपनी इच्छा का उल्लेख किया था। इसलिए, यह देखने वाली बात होगी कि बीजेपी वसुंधरा राजे और शिवराज सिंह चौहान को कौन सा राजनीतिक पद सौंपती है या वाकई यह अटल-आडवाणी युग के नेताओं के राजनितिक सफर का अंत है। 

End of political journey of leaders of Atal-Advani era?

With the recent change of power in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced new chief ministers for all three states, replacing the previous leaders. Vishnudev Sai has been elected Chief Minister in Chhattisgarh, Mohan Yadav in MP and Bhajanlal Sharma in Rajasthan. Raman Singh, who was the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh three times, has now been appointed Speaker of the Assembly. However, there is uncertainty over the future political roles of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who ruled Madhya Pradesh for 18 years, and Vasundhara Raje, who was two-time chief minister of Rajasthan. This is an important question that is yet to be answered.

During the Atal-Advani era, BJP elected Vasundhara Raje, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Dr. Raman Singh as leaders and they successfully established themselves as regional leaders in their respective states. However, with the changing times in the Modi-Shah era, these three leaders have now found themselves in a situation where they have to recommend a leader from another party for the chief minister's post instead of taking up the role themselves. Does this signal the end of the political journey of the leaders of the Atal-Advani era?

The stance regarding both the Chief Ministers is not clear

Former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh has been assigned the role of Assembly Speaker, however, it is uncertain what will be the political future of Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The top leadership of BJP has not yet revealed its plans for these former Chief Ministers whether they will be considered for a place in the Union Cabinet or will they be given a place in the BJP organization?

Shivraj Singh Chauhan at the age of 64 and Vasundhara Raje at the age of 70 enjoy significant popularity and political support. Keeping in mind the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in just four months, does the Party acknowledge the importance of both these respected leaders and intends to carefully consider their roles within the Party organization or the Central Government. This will also be something to see.

Despite being given the opportunity to enter central politics earlier, both leaders Vasundhara and Shivraj had chosen to focus on state politics. Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chauhan were given a place in the national team only after the defeat in the 2018 assembly elections.

Preference for new faces

The top leadership of BJP had started the process of installing new leadership in both the states. Despite this, Vasundhara Raje maintained a strong position in Rajasthan politics and gained the confidence of party MLAs. Similarly, Shivraj Singh Chauhan was also maintaining his dominance in the politics of Madhya Pradesh. Although the equations seemed to be changing with the announcement of the 2023 elections, the role of these two cannot be ignored.

BJP did not announce CM candidate for the assembly elections of five states. Instead, he campaigned on Prime Minister Modi's achievements and leadership. Earlier, the party had campaigned under the leadership of Vasundhara in Rajasthan, Shivraj in MP and Raman Singh in Chhattisgarh. However, when the BJP won majority in all three states, the possibility of a change of leadership became looming. In all three states, new leaders were elected in place of the existing leaders, as it seemed already. As a result, speculations have now intensified regarding the future roles of Shivraj and Vasundhara Raje in politics.

Will Vasundhara come to the centre?

Vasundhara Raje is currently the MLA from Jhalrapatan and also serves as the National Vice President of BJP. Given their strong position within the organization, it may be challenging for them to find another role locally. On the other hand, his son Dushyant, who is an MP, may be considered for sending him back to the Lok Sabha. However, it is possible that to support Vasundhara Raje's bid for power at the national level in 2024, it could be beneficial for her son to run for MLA and secure a seat in the assembly through a by-election. There is also a possibility of him being appointed as the Governor, because BJP has appointed many of its senior leaders in Raj Bhavan.

Along with this, discussions are also going on about the political prospects of former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan. These discussions include a wide range of possibilities, including his possible role as a Union minister or within the BJP organisation. However, it is to be noted that Shivraj Singh Chouhan has strongly denied any intention of contesting the Lok Sabha elections and has repeatedly reiterated his stance of not shifting to Delhi. He expressed a preference not to make personal requests, saying it was not his responsibility. However, he later mentioned his willingness to support any decision of the party. Therefore, it remains to be seen what political position BJP hands over to Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chouhan or is it really the end of the political journey of the Atal-Advani era leaders.
