बीकानेर। अनूपगढ़ से अपने बेटे को मिलने आए बुजुर्ग के साथ टैक्सी चालक व उसके साथियों ने मारपीट कर रुपए छीन लिए। बुजुर्ग के पैर के ऊपर से टैक्सी निकाल दी, जिससे वह घायल भी हो गया। शोर-शराबा सुनकर पास में सरकारी क्वार्टरों में रहने वाले लोग दौड़कर आए और टैक्सी चालक को दबोचा। बुजुर्ग को पीबीएम अस्पताल के ट्रोमा सेंटर में भर्ती कराया। सदर एसएचओ सुरेन्द्र पचार ने बताया कि अनूपगढ़ के चक एसपी निवासी ओंकार मल (81) गुरुवार अलसुबह अनूपगढ़ से अपने बेटे से मिलने बीकानेर आए थे।

सुबह करीब पौने छह बजे प्राइवेट बस स्टैंड पर उतरे। कलक्ट्रेट के पीछे रहने वाले अपने बेटे से मिलने के लिए भीमसेन सर्कल से टैक्सी में बैठे। टैक्सी में पहले से चार व्यक्ति बैठे थे। बुजुर्ग ओंकारमल भी सवार हो गए। टैक्सी चालक ने दो सवारियों को भीमसेन सर्कल पर उतार दिया। चालक और दो व्यक्ति बैठे रह गए। कलक्टर निवास के पास दो सवारियों को उतारने के बहाने चालक अंधेरी गली में टैक्सी ले गया, जहां टैक्सी में बैठे लोगों ने बुजुर्ग की शर्ट की जेब से जबरन 3650 रुपए निकाल लिए और मारपीट करने लगे।

आरोपियों ने धक्का देकर उन्हें नीचे गिरा दिया, जिससे चेहरे पर चोट लगी। इतना ही नहीं, उनके पैर के ऊपर से टैक्सी निकाल दी, जिससे वह घायल हो गया। शोर सुनकर जब लोग दौड़े, तब दो व्यक्ति भाग गए, जबकि टैक्सी खराब हो गई। लोगों ने टैक्सी चालक को पकड़ कर धुनाई की। बाद में पुलिस व बुजुर्ग के बेटे को घटना को सूचना दी।

Bikaner. The taxi driver and his associates beat up an elderly man who had come to meet his son from Anupgarh and snatched the money. The taxi ran over the old man's leg, due to which he also got injured. Hearing the noise, people living in nearby government quarters came running and caught the taxi driver. The elderly man was admitted to the Trauma Center of PBM Hospital. Sadar SHO Surendra Pachar said that Omkar Mal (81), resident of Chak SP, Anupgarh, had come to Bikaner from Anupgarh on Thursday morning to meet his son.

Got down at the private bus stand at around quarter to six in the morning. Boarded a taxi from Bhimsen Circle to meet his son who lived behind the Collectorate. Four persons were already sitting in the taxi. Elderly Omkarmal also boarded the train. The taxi driver dropped two passengers at Bhimsen Circle. The driver and two persons remained sitting. On the pretext of dropping two passengers near the Collector's residence, the driver took the taxi to Andheri street, where the people sitting in the taxi forcibly took out Rs 3650 from the old man's shirt pocket and started beating him.

The accused pushed him and made him fall down, due to which he suffered facial injuries. Not only this, a taxi was driven over his leg, due to which he got injured. When people ran after hearing the noise, two persons ran away while the taxi broke down. People caught the taxi driver and beat him up. Later the police and the old man's son were informed about the incident.
