शुक्रवार देर रात करीब 11:32 पर जब लोग सो चुके थे तब नेपाल में 6.4 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया. इसमें कई घरों-इमारतों को नुकसान पहुंचा है.नेपाल के जाजरकोट के पास जमीन से 10 किमी नीचे भूकंप का केंद्र रहा.यहां भूकंप की वजह से कई घर और इमारतें तबाह हुई.भूकंप की वजह से जाजरकोट जिले में अभी तक 92 लोगों की मौत हुई हैं. नेपाल में भूकंप की वजह से घायल महिला को इलाज के लिए अस्पताल भेजा गया है.नेपाल में तेज भूकंप के झटकों के बाद घायलों को अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया.भूकंप के झटके महसूस होते ही NCR क्षेत्र में लोग घरों से बाहर निकल आए।पटना में भूकंप के बाद लोग अपने घरों से बाहर निकल आए.

बिहार में पटना समेत आरा, दरभंगा, गया, वैशाली, खगड़िया, सिवान, बेतिया, बक्सर, बगहा, नालंदा, नवादा 11 जिलों में भूकंप के तेज झटके महसूस किए गए. भूकंप के दौरान धरती करीब एक मिनट तक धरती हिलती रही. कई बार आफ्टर शॉक्स भी महसूस किए गए. सीतामढ़ी, मधुबनी, सुपौल और दरभंगा के कुछ हिस्से जोन 5 में आते हैं, जो बेहद खतरनाक हैं. राजधानी पटना सहित बिहार के बाकी हिस्से जोन 4 में आते हैं, जहां भूकंप का खतरा कम रहता है.
