बीकानेर में सरदार पटेल मेडिकल कॉलेज के प्राचार्य और नियंत्रक डॉ. गुंजन सोनी ने बुधवार देर रात कॉलेज से संबंधित विभिन्न चिकित्सालयों में सुरक्षा और चिकित्सा व्यवस्थाओं का जायजा लिया। उन्होंने असामाजिक तत्वों पर तुरंत कार्रवाई की और पुलिस को सूचित किया।

डॉ. सोनी ने बताया कि वे बुधवार रात को 10 बजे पीबीएम के टीबी अस्पताल और ट्रॉमा सेंटर में सुरक्षा व्यवस्थाओं की समीक्षा कर रहे थे। इस दौरान कुछ असामाजिक तत्व शराब पीकर ड्यूटी पर कार्यरत महिला और पुरुष नर्सिंग अधिकारियों के साथ बदतमीजी कर रहे थे। इस पर प्राचार्य ने सुरक्षा गार्ड्स की मदद से उन्हें नियंत्रण किया और उन्हें पुलिस को सौंपा।

उन्होंने बताया कि वे और डॉक्टर जितेंद्र आचार्य जिला अस्पताल में भी चिकित्सा व्यवस्थाओं की समीक्षा करने पहुंचे। प्राचार्य ने अस्पताल के प्रबंधन को निर्देश दिए कि अस्पताल की सुरक्षा को मजबूत बनाया जाए और ओपीडी के बाद द्वितीय गेट को बंद रखा जाए ताकि किसी भी असामाजिक तत्व का जमावड़ा न हो। साथ ही, वे स्टाफ को निष्ठापूर्ण काम करने की सीख देने में भी जुटे रहे।

Dr. Soni said that he was reviewing the security arrangements at PBM's TB Hospital and Trauma Center at 10 pm on Wednesday night. During this time, some anti-social elements were misbehaving with the male and female nursing officers on duty after drinking alcohol. On this the Principal controlled them with the help of security guards and handed them over to the police.

He told that he and Dr. Jitendra Acharya also reached the district hospital to review the medical arrangements. The Principal directed the hospital management to strengthen the security of the hospital and keep the second gate after OPD closed so that there is no gathering of any anti-social elements. Besides, he was also busy in teaching the staff to work with integrity.
