इसी साल फरवरी में संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (UAE) में 200 करोड़ रुपये की शादी के बाद ‘महादेव बेटिंग ऐप’ स्कैम सुर्खियों में है। इस शादी के दौरान जो भी पेमेंट किया गया था वह पूरी तरह से कैश में किया गया था। इसने महादेव ऑनलाइन बेटिंग ऐप को जांच एजेंसियों के निशाने पर ला दिया। ऐप बुधवार दोपहर एक बार फिर से तब सुर्खियों में आया जब लोकप्रिय अभिनेता रणबीर कपूर को प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने शुक्रवार को पूछताछ के लिए बुलाया। रणबीर कपूर इस ऐप ऐप के विज्ञापनों में दिखाई देते हैं। अधिकारियों ने बुधवार को बताया कि ईडी ने छत्तीसगढ़ के ‘महादेव बेटिंग ऐप’ से जुड़े धनशोधन के मामले में अभिनेता रणबीर कपूर को समन जारी कर शुक्रवार को पूछताछ के लिए उपस्थित होने का निर्देश दिया है।

एनडीटीवी की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, एजेंसी ने कहा कि डिजिटल सबूतों के अनुसार, इवेंट मैनेजमेंट फर्म को हवाला लेनदेन के माध्यम से 112 करोड़ रुपये पहुंचाए गए थे और 42 करोड़ रुपये की होटल बुकिंग यूएई करेंसी में की गई थी वो भी पूरी तरह से कैश में की गई थी। एजेंसी ने कहा कि इवेंट मैनेजमेंट फर्म से जुड़े लोगों के परिसरों पर ईडी की तलाशी में हवाला लेनदेन और बेहिसाब नकदी के सबूत मिले हैं। बयान में कहा गया है, "यह पाया गया है कि कई मशहूर हस्तियां इन सट्टेबाजी संस्थाओं को एंडोर्स कर रही हैं और उनके कार्यक्रमों में परफॉर्म कर रही हैं। बदले में वे मोटी फीस ले रहे हैं जोकि संदिग्ध लेनदेन के माध्यम से आया पैसा है। लेकिन अंततः यह पेमेंट ऑनलाइन सट्टेबाजी की इनकम से किया जाता है।"

ऐसे निशाने पर आईं मशहूर हस्तियों

उस ट्रैवल एजेंसी के परिसर में भी तलाशी ली गई, जिसने महादेव ऐप प्रमोटरों, उनके परिवार के सदस्यों और प्लेटफॉर्म पर वेबसाइटों को एंडोर्स करने वाली मशहूर हस्तियों के लिए टिकट बुक किए थे। मेसर्स रैपिड ट्रैवेल्स का संचालन धीरज आहूजा और विशाल आहूजा द्वारा किया जाता है। ईडी ने कहा, "सट्टेबाजी पैनल से अवैध कैश कमाई को आहूजा बंधुओं ने बड़ी चतुराई से मुख्य टिकट प्रदाताओं के पास जमा कर दिया था, और वॉलेट बैलेंस का इस्तेमाल घरेलू और अंतरराष्ट्रीय टिकट बुक करने के लिए किया गया था।"

एजेंसी ने कहा कि उसने महादेव ऑनलाइन बुक ऐप के कथित मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग ऑपरेशन में शामिल अन्य प्रमुख खिलाड़ियों की भी पहचान की है। ईडी की जांच में पता चला है कि सौरभ चंद्राकर और रवि उप्पल ऐप के मुख्य प्रमोटर हैं। वे भिलाई, छत्तीसगढ़ के रहने वाले हैं और दुबई से अपना ऑपरेशन चला रहे हैं। ईडी के बयान में कहा गया है, "सौरभ चंद्राकर और रवि उप्पल ने संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में अपने लिए एक साम्राज्य बनाया है। अचानक और अवैध धन का वे खुलेआम दिखावा कर रहे हैं।"

अब अधिकारियों ने बताया कि एजेंसी ने आरोप लगाया है कि रणबीर कपूर को कथित तौर पर ऐप के प्रमोटर की शादी में परफॉर्म करने के लिए पैसा मिला था। उन्होंने बताया कि ईडी ने रणबीर कपूर को छह अक्टूबर को एजेंसी के रायपुर स्थित कार्यालय में उपस्थित होने को कहा है। सूत्रों ने बताया कि ईडी 14 से 15 अन्य हस्तियों की मामले में भूमिका की जांच कर रही है और उन्हें भी जल्द पूछताछ के लिए बुलाया जाएगा।

"In February 2023, Saurabh Chandrakar got married in RAK, UAE and the promoters of Mahadev APP spent approximately Rs 200 crore in cash for this wedding ceremony," the ED said in a statement on September 15.

According to an NDTV report, the agency said that as per digital evidence, Rs 112 crore was transferred to the event management firm through hawala transactions and hotel bookings worth Rs 42 crore were made in UAE currency, that too entirely in cash. Searches were also conducted at the premises of the travel agency that had booked tickets for Mahadev app promoters, their family members and celebrities who have endorsed websites on the platform. M/s Rapid Travels is run by Dheeraj Ahuja and Vishal Ahuja. "The illegal cash earnings from the betting panels were cleverly deposited by the Ahuja brothers with the main ticket providers, and the wallet balances were used to book domestic and international tickets," the ED said.

The agency said it has also identified other key players involved in the alleged money laundering operation of Mahadev Online Book App. ED investigation has revealed that Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal are the main promoters of the app. He is a resident of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh and is running his operations from Dubai. "Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal have built an empire for themselves in the UAE. They are openly flaunting their sudden and illegal wealth," the ED statement said.

Now officials said that the agency has alleged that Ranbir Kapoor had allegedly received money to perform at the wedding of the app promoter. He told that ED has asked Ranbir Kapoor to be present at the agency's Raipur office on October 6.
