प्रारंभिक जानकारी के अनुसार, घर के पास रहने वाले 60 वर्षीय व्यक्ति ने बच्ची के साथ अनैतिक संबंध बनाए। परिजनों ने पुलिस को कोई जानकारी नहीं दी, लेकिन स्कूल प्रशासन की भी भूमिका संदिग्ध है। पुलिस तमाम पहलुओं पर जांच कर रही है, और अब तक किसी की गिरफ्तारी नहीं की गई है।
