राजस्थान के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत के कोरोना वायरस से संक्रमित होने की पुष्टि हुई है. गहलोत ने कहा कि वे पिछले कुछ दिनों से बुखार से पीड़ित थे और शुक्रवार को चिकित्सकों की सलाह पर कराई गयी जांच में कोरोना वायरस से संक्रमित होने की पुष्टि हुई है. गहलोत ने सोशल मीडिया मंच ‘एक्स’ पर पोस्ट किया, ‘‘पिछले कुछ दिनों से बुखार होने के कारण आज डॉक्टर की सलाह पर जांच करवाई, जिसमें कोविड और स्वाइन फ्लू की पुष्टि हुई है. इस कारण अगले सात दिन तक मुलाकात नहीं कर सकूंगा. इस बदलते मौसम में आप सब भी अपने स्वास्थ्य का ध्यान रखें.’’

अशोक गहलोत की सरकार बीते साल दिसंबर में गिर गई थी. इसके बाद राज्‍य में भजनलाल शर्मा के नेतृत्‍व वाली बीजेपी की सरकार बनी. अशोक गहलोत एंड कंपनी को चुनावों में बुरी तरह से शिकस्‍त का सामना करना पड़ा. सचिन पायलट के साथ उनका विवाद किसी से छुपा नहीं है. मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स की माने तो स्‍वयं राहुल गांधी और सोनिया गांधी भी गहलोत के काम करने के तरीके से खुश नहीं थे. यही वजह है कि लंबे वक्‍त तक वो राज्‍य में चुनाव प्रचार के लिए भी नहीं आए.
